Below the beltline, its high ground clearance and 20-inch wheels were designed to mimic the more SUV-like traits of Volvo’s larger XC90 sport-ute, while the sharply raked roof line was inspired by the new C30 sport coupe.

The Prius is actually not very good for the environment. Apparently, the battery in it contains nickel from a smelter whose emissions generated acid rain that eliminated all life within miles of it. Specifically to quote a representative from Greenpeace: “The acid rain around Sudbury was so bad it destroyed all the plants and the soil slid down off the hillside.” According to the article, the area surrounding the smelter is so bad, that NASA uses the location to test its Mars Rovers.

This car is more luxury and safer then any volvo car. I think this xc60 are going to beat the audi q5 and the bmw x3 easy. I cannot untill the new s60 comes out!
Now, who is able to buy all these luxourius cars? Not the working class people in majority for sure. Just look upon all the financial problems that GM have. Saab and recently Volvo will fire a lot of personell just to compete against the german brands.

Very good Volvo. and Steve Matin. But what kind of propulsion system will it have? yeah, just the most important detail. and you are suppose to care about the environment, yet you say not one word about what kind of fuels or electricity or both, this car will or may be capable of. I’m putting my hopes in Toyota with their next generation of Plug-In capable electric flex fuel cars. Volvo, your cars are safe but you say nothing about electric propulsion nor alternative fuels. What’s up Volvo???
