After many stories about whether or not the Audi A1 will be coming to the US, we finally get some news on the S version of the smallest model in the lineup: the S1. The new Audi S1 is expected to be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and will come to compete with models like the Mini Cooper S and the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA.

The S version will be distinguished by chrome door mirrors, a gloss black diffuser, S1 badges, and, of course, a new set of 18-inch twin five-spoke alloy wheels.

However, the most distinguished thing about the upcoming S1 is the fact that it will be the first Audi S model to be offered in front-wheel drive only. That’s right, no quattro 4WD for the Audi. Instead, this hatchback will be sending the power to just the front two wheels.

Under the hood there will be a tuned version of the 1.4-liter supercharged and turbocharged petrol engine already available in the A1. The result is an output of 200 HP, a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in less than 7 seconds, and a top speed of 140 mph.

Next to the IPL G Coupe, Infiniti will also be unveiling at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance the new G25 Sedan. The new model will go on sale this September at a price of $30,950 USD.

The new G25 sedan is powered by a 2.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine that produces 218 HP and 187 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. It will be available in both rear-wheel drive and intelligent all-wheel drive and three trim levels: G25 Sedan, G25 Sedan Journey and G25x Sedan AWD.

The list of standard equipment will include: leather-appointed seating, Shodo aluminum interior trim, 8-way power driver’s seat and 4-way power front passenger’s seat, Automatic Temperature Control, premium audio system with six speakers, XM® Satellite Radio (XM® subscription required, sold separately), 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon headlights, 4-wheel Anti-lock Disc Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS).

The German tuner Hamann is preparing their first tuning program for the Mercedes SLS AMG. And, like always, they started by improving the car’s aerodynamics and providing the car with a little personal touch.

For that touch, Hamann is offering a set of forged alloy wheels named Design Edition Race “Anodized”, in the dimensions of 9.0Jx21 (front) and 11.0Jx21 (rear). These wheels are produced using the most modern manufacturing processes and come painted in a black matte anodized finish. Seen on these wheels are a set of titanium bolts that look suitable for the racetrack. These bolts are ultra light, stable, and corrosion resistant.

The tuner is also offering a new set of suspensions that lowers the car’s ride by 30mm. There is also a set of stainless steel exhaust system with 90mm exhaust pipes on each side. This new exhaust system offers a very sporty sound for the SLS.

We are sure everyone in the UK is waiting for the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee to make its debut on their side, but until then Jeep lovers will have to make due with a special edition based on the current model. Jeep UK have just unveiled the special edition Grand Cherokee S-Limited. There will only be 250 units built each carrying a price tag of £33,995. The S-Limited is based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited model, but adds a long list of standard equipment and offers customers fantastic value for their money.

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee S-Limited will be distinguished by a body-colored grille with black wire mesh texture, body-colored still extensions, 18″ alloy wheels, HID headlamps, and a rear spoiler.

On the interior it gets a leather wrapped steering wheel, a gear knob with carbon fiber style insert, a leather wrapped gear shifter, refined aluminum bezel finished interior items, dark slate grey leather-trimmed sport seats with suede inserts, leather-covered dashboard binnacle, deep tint sunscreen glass, front and rear heated seats, and aluminum finish pedals.

It will be available in Brilliant Black, Bright Silver, Dark Carbon, and Modern Blue.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is looking more and more like a can’t-miss weekend with the way the whole event is shaping up.

In addition to the plethora of activities that are already on-hand for the event, McLaren will be joining in on all the fun by bringing their new MP4-12C supercar to Goodwood. Those in attendance will be treated to quite a show as both McLaren Formula One drivers, reigning champion Jenson Button and former champ Lewis Hamilton take turns driving the MP4-12C up the Goodwood Hill during the event’s Supercar Run.

That’s not all, too. Both drivers will also have the opportunity to further test McLaren’s new supercar prototype, the VP9 Validation Prototype Car. Among the features we can expect from the new version is that it will come with a carbon fiber splitter, diffuser, engine covers, engine bay panels, and seat backs, not to mention the fact that it will use lightweight forged-alloy wheels in a Stealth finish.

It certainly goes without saying that the Goodwood Festival of Speed is poised to become the place-to-be for each and every person who calls himself an auto enthusiast.

Today, Subaru announced prices for the 2011 Impreza models, including the 2.5i, the 2.5i Premium, and the Outback Sport. The Impreza 2.5i sedan starts at $17,495 with the 5-door version starting at $17,995. The Impreza 2.5i Premium sedan starts at $18,495 with the 5-door version at $18,995. The Outback version is priced at $19,995. The 2011 Subaru Impreza is scheduled to arrive in dealerships in July.

The Special Edition Package is replaced by the power moonroof value package that includes the all-weather package, fog lights, and a power moonroof for just $500. All models will be offered with Subaru symmetrical all-wheel drive, vehicle dynamics control and brake assist, 17″ alloy wheels, raised suspension, and fog lights as standard equipment.

New for the 2011MY, Camellia Red Pearl and Sage Green Metallic will be offered as monotone exterior colors on the Outback Sport. Obsidian Black two-tone, Marine Blue two-tone, and Steel Silver two-tone complete the Outback Sport color line up.

The Vauxhall Corsa is a car of many names. Known as the Opel Corsa, Holden Barina, Chevrolet Corsa, Opel Vita, Vauxhall Corsa (obviously), and many others, you could say that this vehicle needs a little bit of a personality in order to not get lost in the crowd of aliases. Fortunately, Vauxhall revealed today that the Corsa will be treated to a very elegant and classy Black and White Limited Edition that will be available in showrooms from next month until the end of the year.

This special edition will get glacier white bodywork, black 17-inch twin spoke alloy wheels and detailing, topped off – literally – with a black sapphire roof. It also gets a lowered suspension and sports a VXR styling kit comprising front and rear lower spoilers, side skirts, and a new roof spoiler.

The same black and white theme is continued on the interior where it gets a piano black center console with contrasting white air vents.

Prices for the Corsa Black & White range from £13,995 for the 3-door 1.2, to £15,400 for the 5-door ecoFLEX diesel.

Okay, so it is not necessarily a 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo GT600 Black and White Edition by BF-Performance, but it can still get you from point A to point B with a little class and style.

Volkswagen UK has added a new version to its Tiguan line-up. The new match version will replace the SE trim level and is on sale at a price starting from £22,110. This is the first time the Tiguan has seen the Match package even though the Polo, Golf, and Touran models have all been displayed under this name.

The new Match package will be available with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines: 150 HP 1.4-liter TSI, 170 HP 2.0-liter TSI engine and 140 or 170 HP 2.0-liter TDI.

The Match package adds Park Assist, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, climate control, a touchscreen DAB digital radio, and a leather multifunction steering wheel. This comes in addition to the existing standard specifications which include 17-inch alloy wheels, a six-disc CD autochanger, heat insulating glass from the B-pillar back, six airbags, Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP), and ABS.

Any fans of Volkswagen’s compact crossover will be happy to know that even with these additions, the Match package will only cost an additional £250.

Lotus Elise has just received a facelift for 2011, but before it goes on sale, Netherlands will be the first to get a special edition Elise SC. This is completely unfair in our books. The limited edition Elise comes painted in matte white with details contrasting in black (superhot). The seats receive an embroidered logo and the standard wheels have been replaced by black 12-spoke alloy wheels. Also, the rear diffuser is painted in black.

Under the hood the 4-cylinder engine remains unchanged, meaning 136 HP and a fuel consumption of 5.04 liters/100 km. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 6.5 seconds.

You know, we can’t seem to understand why everyone else is getting these special edition Lotuses. If you remember, a couple of months ago, Australia received the Lotus Elise Club Racer and last year, the UK received the Lotus Elsie Black and White Edition. Hey Lotus, we want this car too!
