Let’s face it; there aren’t many people in the world that can afford the Reventon supercar. Not to mention the fact that it is limited to only 20 units. So, in the case that you don’t have an extra $1,200,000 in your pocket to spend or you can’t get on the super deluxe, ultra special list to purchase the Reventon, Lamborghini is offering you the possibility to get an officially licensed RC version, scale 1:10. And what Lamborghini RC car would be complete without its own limited number? In true special edition style, the mini model will only get 65 units.

The RC car was built by De Agostini and has more features than some production models: a two-stroke 3cc petrol engine, a two-speed transmission, and permanent four-wheel drive. For “optimum road holding”, designers installed an independent suspension, hydraulic shocks, and disc brakes.

Of course, it won’t develop a total of 650 HP and won’t hit a top speed of 211 mph, but it will make your dream of getting your hands on a Lamborghini Reventon come to life, in a mini way. If only they would let us know how much it costs.

There used to be 10 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV China Editions. Key phrase in that sentence would be “used to be”. Yes, unfortunately, we have received word that one of those supercars have seen an untimely death. It was in a pretty serious accident on June 6th in Beijing and the pictures depict just that.

Apparently, the driver was going 180 km/h when he lost control, left the road, and struck a group of trees before coming to rest 100 meters down the road. Thankfully, there were no pedestrians on the road and both passengers were okay even though they were not wearing their seat belts.

Dodge Stratus gets turned into a faux Lamborghini Gallardo - June 12, 2010 by admin

Our planet is big enough that somewhere in one corner of the world, there’s somebody who goes a little too far in modding his pedestrian ride into something more along the likes of an exotic.

More often than not, the whole experiment fails miserably and the owner is left with something best suited to be destroyed at a moment’s notice. That or he can just cut his losses and sell his ride on Ebay, hoping that somebody would be dumb enough to take it off of his hands.

That being said, if you fancy a Dodge Stratus that has been given a Lamborghini Gallardo bodykit, this one’s exactly for you. And the best – or worst, depending on your taste – part is, it’s being sold on eBay.

UPDATE: Bidding for the car has unfortunately ended. Maybe somebody did buy it.

Despite the safety precautions in place in most competitive races, there’s always that possibility that something could go wrong. That wasn’t any more evident than in Round 4 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Cup that was held recently.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Cup saw a massive accident during Round 4 of the season. From what we can tell, the number 22 Gallardo LP560-4 driven by Giorgio Bartocci got off into the gravel on the last turn before the front straight.

The driver’s side door flew open as the car span down the tarmac. When it finally came to a stop, the Gallardo turned into a fireball.

Fire crews initially took longer than expected to pull the driver from the wreck and were seen using hand held fire extinguishers to battle the blaze. The FIA is expected to investigate the incident. Surprisingly, Bartocci survived the ordeal and is currently in intensive care with 1st degree burns and a fractured leg .

The German magazine Autobild got behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera and took it for a spin. We know the video is in German, but give it a shot, it’s really worth it!

The Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera weighs in at around 154 pounds less than the Gallardo LP 560-4. The 5,2 liter V10 engine will deliver an incredible 570 hp. The result is a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, from 0 to 124 mph in only 10.2 seconds, while top speed goes up to 202 mph.

If at the end of this video you are still itching for some more Superleggera action, then check out the last video we had of this lightweight supercar doing what it does best; revving its engine, spinning it wheels, and sitting out to be admired.

Video: Lamborghini Murcielago sneaks out of paying for parking - March 14, 2010 by admin

You would think that someone who owns a Lamborghini Murcielago would have no problem paying for parking fees, right?

Guess again.

Showing an uncanny combination of sneakiness and frugality, the driver of this Lamborghini Murcielago did something 99% of other cars wouldn’t even bother trying. At only 44” inches tall, the Murcielago is short enough to be able to fit under those parking barriers that are common in the entrance/exit of those parking lots. Figuring that he had a shot at sneaking out of the parking space without having to pay for the fees, this dude drives his Murcielago under the parking barrier – with inches to spare, no less – and scooting away as soon as he was in the clear.

Check it out.

We know Lamborghinis are fast. We also know that some people, no matter how awesome their ride is, still can’t get enough of what they have and so they continue to tinker with their cars to give it even more bite that what it already has.

While we’re not completely sure what kind of modification the owner of this Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 did to his car, but we do know that Lamborghini don’t shoot flames out f their exhaust pipes, which this Gallardo did a number of times as it was roaring along the highway.

The flames aren’t all that big and you’re going to have to pay extra attention to even see them but trust us, you’ll notice them eventually. And while that is far from a normal occurrence from just about every other car you’ll ever find, the Gallardo’s ear-splitting power is about as real as it can get so if for nothing else, you’ll definitely enjoy listening to that supercar stretch its legs.
