It’s not exactly to the awesomeness level of the skiing Lamborghini Gallardo but the first official video of the Volkswagen Polo GTI looks to be having its own fun running around in the snow.

The video shows a lot of action sequences of the Polo GTI frolicking in the snow and the smallest GTI from Volkswagen seems to be having a pretty good time doing so. Powered by a relatively light 1.4-liter twin-charged petrol engine, the Polo GTI produces as much as 180 horsepower and 250Nm of torque. It’s got a top speed of 142 mph and can clock a 0-100kmh time of just under seven seconds (6.9 seconds).

In the years that we’ve been covering the auto industry, we’ve seen just about any type of car crash imaginable. From head-on collisions to supercars diving into lagoons, the list is endless on the ways owners seem to destroy their beloved supercars.

On the flip side, we rarely come across a documented video of a supercar escaping a crash by the skin of its teeth so imagine our joy and relief when we saw this video of a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce come oh-so close to becoming the third SuperVeloce – and the second in as many weeks – to become another car crash statistic.

Check out the video and watch how the owner of the Murcielago SV managed to avert getting clipped by on-coming SUV at the last second. Close call indeed.

Last week, we showed you Underground Racing tweaking a Lamborghini Gallardo with a fully-customized Twin Turbo kit, which gave the Gallardo a staggering output of over 1500 horsepower. Putting their creation to the test, Underground Racing went down to Texas to participate in the Texas Mile Roll Race Event. Against a field of some pretty power-packed machines, the Gallardo laid waste to the competition on its way to winning the whole event.

Just goes to show that Underground Racing sure knows what it’s doing.

Packing a monstrous 1500 horsepowered-engine, this Lamborghini Gallardo “Race Version” is unlike any Gallardo you’ve ever seen in your lifetime.

Fine-tuned by Underground Racing for one of its clients, the twin-turbo Gallardo – called the TTG – is the personification of a monster on wheels. While 1500 horsepower is staggering enough, if you account for the drivetrain loss, the horsepower should spike up even more to around 1900 hp. Staggering, isn’t it?

After completing the modifications, Underground Racing gave Jonah – the owner of the car – the keys to the wheels – so he could give his new amped up baby a ride. The result? A sub-ten second time through a quarter mile at speeds of well over 160 mph. Unbelievable!
