At the end of July, Heico Sportiv announced plans to create a tuning kit for the new Volvo S60. Those plans have come to fruition as the tuner has revealed the official details on this package. The tuner has updated both the car’s aerodynamics and output with the package becoming available September 5, 2010.
The exterior package includes a new front spoiler mounted on the original bumper, a PUR-R-RIM rear skirt in diffuser, and left and right oval end-pipes of the quad outlet exhaust system. The package is finished with 18-20″ sport wheels.
In order to upgrade the engine’s output, the tuner is offering ECU upgrades for both D3/D5 diesel engines. For the 2.0 T engine, the tuner managed to squeeze an extra 47 HP, while the T6 has been upgraded to an impressive 330 HP. The result is a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.
Press release after the jump.

Gemballa | industry news | car tuning | Cars | Car News
German tuning house, Gemballa, is officially back and we should all thank two people for its comeback: CEO Andreas Schwarz and Investor Steffen Korbach.
Gemballa caught international headlines a few months ago after its founder, Uwe Gemballa, unceremoniously went missing with a number of rumors suggesting he went M.I.A because of an impending case involving his tuning firm. With Gemballa falling out of the grid, the company that was named after him eventually closed up shop.
Now, the tuning firm that made its name as one of the best Porsche tuners in the world is set to make a comeback and will be now led by both Schwarz and Korbach. According to the two, the company is now fully secured and would return to its world-class tuning ways. To add to the good news, the company is now in the middle of developing new packages for a slew of current Porsche models, including the Panamera and the second-generation Cayenne, and is expected to release its first model sometime in the next few months.
In addition to developing new kits for the aforementioned Porsche models, Gemballa will also continue some of the trademark packages that made it a household name in the tuning world. Some of these models include: the Gemballa MIG-U1 based on the Ferrari Enzo, the Gemballa Tornado based on the Porsche Cayenne, the Gemballa Avalanche Roadster based on the Porsche 911, the Gemballa GT Aero 3 based on the Porsche Cayenne, and the Gemballa Mirage GT based on the Porsche Carrera GT.

The Golf R is the most powerful Golf in Volkswagen’s line-up. But even so, it can be improved, right? For example Mcchip DKR managed to squeeze another 45 HP from the car’s engine.
The program includes an software optimization kit and the result is an impressive output 315 HP and 440 Nm of torque instead of 270 HP and 350 Nm. Next to it the tuner also offers a a set of H&R lowering springs. However, Mcchip did not revealed any details on how the car’s performances have been improved, but we expect to get a removal of the top speed limiter and a sprint from 0 to 60 mph made in less than 5.7 seconds.
The car comes painted in an amazing white and sits on 19 inch OZ Ultraleggera alloys wrapped in high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.
The price for the whole package is 4440 euro.

Lumma-Design Porsche | suv | Porsche Cayenne | luxury cars | fuel | car tuning | Cars | Car Reviews | Porsche
Now that the States may be receiving a diesel variant for the ol’ Porsche Cayenne, it’s fitting that we take a look at a tuning package for the luxury SUV. As of right now, Americans may not be all too interested in a diesel from Porsche, but things change rapidly and we want to be prepared for it. The new tuning package comes from Lumma Design, who recently prepared a monstrous cosmetic package for the petrol version of the Cayenne.
For the diesel variant now being sold in Europe, Lumma Design has opted to not only give it a cosmetic makeover, but an engine makeover as well. A D-box plug and play kit has been added that increases the Cayenne’s horsepower from 240 to 276. The torque also gets a jump from 550 to 630Nm. This change allows the SUV to get noticeable savings in fuel consumption. Who doesn’t love that? And if you want to add a little flare under the hood as well, then Lumma can also provide the consumer with an engine optics package. This package consists of red-coated covers and a crest logo made of metal.
Hit the jump for the full story plus the press release.

Desperate people are capable of desperate actions, even if the results of what they do become far less appealing than if they had just left everything alone.
Take this man for example.
Clearly, this man has a unique – and maybe even obsessive – love for Ferrari. The only problem is, he doesn’t have one, or at least a real and authentic Prancing Horse. What he does have is a Chevrolet Corvette C4, which, by all accounts, is far from being a run-of-the-mill sports car. But as is the case with obsessive compulsive fixations, the owner of this monstrosity decided – how he decided on this, we’ll never know – to build a replica Ferrari F40 using the Corvette C4.
If you ask us, there are a few things current and hoping Ferrari owners should always know. If you can afford the ride, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t have one inside your garage, but if you don’t have the financial wherewithal to buy your own Ferrari, please, for all that is good and holy in this world, do not make any attempts in turning a nice car like a Corvette C4 into the motherload of all horrendously crappy vehicles.

Porsche TechArt | luxury cars | Porsche Panamera | car tuning | Cars | Car News
Does your need for speed leave you wishing there were more options to boost power and create that exhilarating feeling you get when you are whipping past everything leaving behind blurred images of what once was? Yeah, we think Techart feels the same way. Apparently the Porsche Panamera Turbo left something to be desired in terms of horsepower so Techart took it upon themselves to create a fun little button in the center console.
What does this button do? Well, once pressed by the driver, the button allows the Panamera Turbo to get a jump of 80 horsepower. Yeah, just with the touch of a button. Pretty cool, huh? The package is called the Techtronic, or TA 070/T1, and allows the Panamera’s 4.8L V8 engine to jump from 500hp to 580hp. It also increases the torque to the top range of 830Nm at somewhere between 3200rpm and 3600rpm. This little button brings down the Turbo’s 0-60mph time to 3.8secs from 4.0 and increases its top speed from 188mph to 195mph. The 0-124mph sprint is made in 12.5seconds.
So, do you have a Porsche Panamera Turbo that you feel needs a little jumpstart? If you do then you should definitely give Techart a call. This package is available starting in August.

The current generation Audi RS6 is about to end its life in just a few months, but this doesn’t mean that tuners can’t work on improving it. The new package comes from Cargraphic and includes both performance and aerodynamic updates.
For the engine updates the tuner is offering a new air filter, a modified exhaust system, and an ECU remap. The result is impressive with the 5.0 liter turbocharged direct injection V10 engine now developing a powerful 665 hp (up from a standard 570 HP). The package also includes a stainless steel exhaust silencer and sport catalysts. There’s no talk yet on how this improvement will increase the car’s performance.
The Cargraphic RS6 sits on 21-inch five double-spoke black wheels which are 10.5-inch wide and are wrapped in 285/30 tires. The tuner has yet to reveal pricing for the new package.
This is definitely a nice way for the RS6 to say goodbye in style!

We have all seen our fair share of matte black and pink wraps lately. Of course, those colors seem to be pretty ordinary when pinned up against the latest wrap craze. What’s hotter than a matte black wrap? Well, to some owners, it would be the rich color of gold. The last sports car featuring this new trend was the Audi R8 spotted in Moscow, Russia. Maybe the gold wrapping is no longer as unique as it once was considering we have seen plenty of cars with a golden touch. Until now we have seen a golden Ferrari Enzo, a golden Bugatti Veyron and a golden Ferrari 599 GTB by Hamann. We just hope that people will not believe the wrap to be real gold so the Audi R8 doesn’t see the same fate as did a golden Porsche that was stolen last year in Moscow.
The Audi R8 features a mid-mounted V8 FSI engine, quattro permanent four-wheel drive, and Audi Space Frame aluminum body. The engine delivers a total of 420 HP and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 187 mph.
