It has been four years since we met the reborn Renault Alpine, so the French brand has renewed its A110 with subtle but accurate changes. Among them, of course, mechanics, equipment, and also aesthetics, although without modifying the lines of a body that are still very much in force, as they are those of an accurate reinterpretation of the original Alpine.
As of November 24, the range is made up of the A110, A110 GT, and A110 S versions, each with a differentiated personality. The simplest already equips the Alpine multimedia system (of course) with a 7 “screen, Bluetooth connection, and two USB sockets, which is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto and offers navigation with real-time information, risk areas, and information on gas stations with prices.
It is equipped with a 1.8 turbo engine that delivers 252 hp and 320 Nm of torque and allows it to go from 0 to 100 in just 4.5 seconds and reach 250 km / h, aided by an ultra-lightweight that stays put in running order. in just 1,140 kg .
Above, the A110 GT proposes a style more in line with that of the ‘Gran Turismo’. Its equipment includes the Park Assist with front sensors and rear camera, as well as the leather Comfort seats with blue stitching. However, going from the A110 to the A110 GT means raising performance to 300 hp and 340 Nm of torque, catapulting the Alpine from 0 to 100 in 4.2 seconds, while maintaining the top of 250 km / h.
Top of the range
And lovers of the purest sports cars will once again have the A110 S in their sights, which delivers the 300 hp of the GT but is more radical for different reasons: it incorporates chassis, brakes, and Sports seats (these, signed by Sabelt). The Sport pedals are made of aluminum, and you can choose some Racing seats made of microfiber (such as the competition bucket) and even the predisposition of harness-type seat belts.
In addition, Alpine offers for this S some semi-slick Michelin PS Cup 2 Connect tires suitable for rolling on the road but more efficient than the standard ones on the track, and just as important as this is the carbon rear spoiler and the front sheet, also made of carbon; Thanks to it, the French sports car gains up to 60 kg of weight in the front axle and 81 kg in the rear axle when traveling at maximum speed. The speed with this kit goes from 260 to 275 km / h, while maintaining the 4.2 seconds to go from 0 to 100.
In both the GT and S the engine calibration has been modified to give power to a higher speed (6,300 rpm) and raise the torque by 20 Nm (340 Nm from 2,400 laps). In addition, another novelty resides in that when we activate the Launch Control mode, the injection to one of the cylinders is cut for an instant, which is something that serves so that this function welcomes us with a more radical sound.
With telemetry
This A110 S comes standard with the Alpine Telemetrics menu so we can check the 7-speed gearbox temperature, instant torque, and power, steering angle, and accelerometer, plus a chronograph that records lap times on the track.
For those who make their mouths water with this tool but cannot afford this S version, the good news is that it will be available as an option for the rest of the range. Options, by the way, among which are other elements as attractive as the carbon fiber roof instead of aluminum (it reduces its weight by 1.9 kg and gives a more spectacular image to the car) and high-performance Brembo brakes.
The S, like the rest of the range, has seen the driving modes revised, which act on the throttle response, the firmness of the steering, the change management, the activation of the exhaust valve (to roar more or less ), and the degree of intrusion of the ESC.
Thus, the Normal mode now seeks greater ride comfort and the Sport allows more instantaneous gear changes, with the advantage that the engine now receives an automatic throttle when we want to shift to a lower gear. The third model, the Track, does not change.

And a curiosity: Alpine has not yet released the prices in France, its country of origin, but it has the rates in Spain, which remain at 62,200 euros for the A110, 72,500 euros for the A110 GT, and 74,800 euros for the A110 S.
