Like its bigger and stronger brothers, the BMW M2 (2022) is based on the CLAR platform, which will be shortened for the compact one.
That means: BMW fans look forward to a six-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive. Since the already presented M240i mobilizes a whopping 374 PS, we can expect significantly more than 400 PS in the M2. Likely, the BMW M2 (2022) will sooner or later also come as a Competition and CS model. The competition, which is around 30 hp more powerful, is now part of the good mold at M GmbH and promises even more dynamism and driving fun – but also at higher prices. The CS recently marked the strongest expansion stage of the M2. It could be a few more years before he takes the stage again.
