With the all-electric  Genesis Electrified GV70 2022 the premium brand from Hyundai is rolling into the electric future with a wide range. After all, the SUV should not only travel up to 500 kilometers. No, thanks to the 800-volt charging technology, the Electrified GV70 is charged from ten to 80 percent within 18 minutes at a 350 kW fast-charging station. Visually, the electric car differs little from its combustion counterpart, the GV70.

The closed radiator grille at the front and the missing tailpipes at the rear are striking. The same game in the interior, which is optionally available in “Glacier White” and, according to the manufacturer, contains environmentally friendly materials. The lowering of the central tunnel, which is no longer necessary, provides more space for the rear passengers: inside.

The Genesis Electrified GV70 (2022) can be accelerated and braked with the so-called “i-Pedal” (one-pedal driving). The active noise control measures and analyzes road noise and, if necessary, generates a counter-noise to compensate for unpleasant external noises. The all-wheel-drive Electrified GV70 is the first Genesis model to have the “e-Terrain” SUV driving mode. A 160 kW electric motor (218 hp) with 350 Newton meters of torque is available for each of the front and rear axles.

This results in a total output of up to 360 kW (490 PS in boost mode) and a maximum torque of 700 Newton meters. The Electrified GV70 should be able to accelerate to 100 km / h within 4.5 seconds. Information on the market launch of the GV70 (2022) and the price in Europe are still pending. For comparison: the price of the combustion engine is 49,900 euros (as of November 2021).
