The 2022 Renault Kadjar will have a successor with a different name in 2022. The engines are mildly hybridized, optionally with all-wheel drive and automatic CVT – a plug-in hybrid may also follow. We outline the interior, the dimensions, the trunk volume, and the possible price.
The alliance partners Nissan and Renault continue to work closely together. The successor to the Renault Kadjar is a fruitful result, which will replace the first model built in 2015 in autumn 2022 and is expected to have a new name. The compact SUV planned with front-wheel or all-wheel drive should have a length of around 4.50 meters (dimensions) and thus a trunk volume of an estimated 450 to 1500 liters.
The second generation is also based on the corporate architecture CMF / C for models with engines mounted transversely to the direction of travel. It is therefore closely related to the new Nissan Qashqai, which was presented in February 2021. And just like the Japanese, the successor to the Renault Kadjar (2022) will compete with the market leader VW Tiguan even more with a modernized interior. The fully electric Renault Mégane, which has already celebrated its debut, could give a first look at the new interior design.
Dimensions & Interior
The second edition of the Renault Kadjar (2022) will be available with the following drive options: Either with a 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with a gasoline particle filter, which has a choice of 140 or 158 hp and is optionally available with a continuously variable automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The serial hybrid from the Qashqai e-Power, in which a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine is used to generate electricity, is also possible, driven by an electric motor (140 kW / 190 PS). It is unclear whether it will stay with trailer loads of up to 1.5 tons. The price the French carmaker will estimate for the Renault Kadjar successor is currently still purely speculative.

But we don’t expect any major changes compared to its predecessor, which is available from 28,600 euros (as of November 2021). The market launch is in autumn 2022.
