Acura has teased the 2023 Integra, a two-door coupé that most people will probably still be familiar with. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed much, we will tell you what is known so far.
The Acura Integra is making a comeback as a two-door coupe. Read on to find out everything that’s known so far …
- New Acura Integra teased
- Return of the Japanese icon from the 90s
- Will return as a two-door coupe
- Type R version possible
- Full unveiling planned for 2022
- No confirmation for market launch in Germany … not yet
A new Acura Integra is on the way. The Japanese icon of the 90s is about to be revived. Instead of recycling an iconic name for an SUV , Acura will put the Integra badge on a new two-door coupe under its Acura brand in the United States.
Whether it will also come to Germany is not yet known, but keep your eyes peeled as the full reveal is slated for 2022.
So far, the only picture of the Acura Integra shown is this shot of a headlight with a fairly sharp daytime running light running through it.
You’ll also recognize the Integra embossing on the bumper – a nod to the third-generation Integra from the ’90s – as well as the edge of a fairly imposing grille.
The new Acura Integra will be a two-door coupe and accordingly could have a pretty sleek design – especially if the original car is to be mimicked.
2023 Acura Integra interior
The Acura Integra will likely share many parts with the new Civic, so expect an interior similar to that of this car.
This includes a large central touchscreen and digital dials. To market the Integra as a sportier alternative to the Civic, however, Acura could opt for a few racy changes. This could include a flat-bottomed steering wheel and possibly red or fake carbon fiber trim.
Engines and Type R
In global markets like the US (where the Integra is sold under the Acura name) or Japan, the new car will likely be sold with a range of gasoline engines and possibly even a hybrid model.
It could be that the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine will be taken over from the Civic Type R, which is said to produce almost 350 hp in the new version. In this case, there will also be a six-speed manual transmission.
However, a new Acura Integra Type R would have big tasks to perform. The original is widely considered to be the most manageable front-wheel drive car of all time.
Not just among his competitors, and not just in his time. It’s the best car ever. No pressure, so …
2023 Acura Integra Price
So far, the Acura Integra (or more accurately: the Acura Integra) has only been confirmed for the US market.
Japan will certainly get it too, but Europe – that remains a secret.
If you want an Integra it is best to contact your local Acura dealer and urge them to bring it over here.
