- New Audi A4 Avant spotted
- IMPROVED ENGINES
- Plug-in hybrid version for sure
- Electrified RS models are also being planned
- Electric A4 e-Tron possible from 2024
Despite the still strong camouflage, we can say with great certainty that the A4 Avant is already the production body, and the front headlights also seem to be the original models. At the rear it looks a bit different, the taillights are very clunky and look as if they will be changed again.
Compared to the current model, the 6th A4 generation will look less ambitious outdoors. The front apron seems to have a clean look, the headlights have become a bit slimmer – otherwise, the familiar look has been retained. What will almost certainly change is the LED graphics, but we’ll have to wait and see.
The grill seems to stay the same size and maybe a little flatter because you want to create a little space in the front bumper for a higher lower grille. On the side, you can see thin, vertical air inlets.
On the side, you can hardly see any differences under the camouflage film. By and large, the shapes will remain the same, but there will certainly be a redesigned character line for the A4, which will differentiate it from the current version. In terms of size, too, there seems to be little change, the new model doesn’t give the impression of being much longer.
If you look at the double exhaust system, you can assume that powerful versions of the Audi A4 are also planned, and diesel could also come if you noticed that there is also a trailer hitch.
Technical data and engines
Following Audi’s announcement that it will only produce electric cars from 2025, the upcoming Audi A4 Avant will probably be the last with gasoline and diesel engines. But even now they will be very electrified because the emission regulations are strict.
Mild hybrid technology and also a plug-in hybrid are practically set so that a larger battery can generate more electric range and thus reduce emissions. A fully electric e-Tron version for the A4 is not ruled out either.
Another change also affects the transmission – there are rumors that Audi will gradually get rid of the manual transmission and switch everything to automatic. That could already be the case in the next A4.
Of course, S and RS versions are also planned – and there is no stopping at the sports models when it comes to electrification. Plug-in hybrid drives for the RS4 Avant have already been confirmed, we have to wait and see whether there will be an electric version.
2023 Audi A4 Avant Prices and sales start
