The eternal 4×4 from Mercedes is already preparing a renewal of its current generation released in 2018, adding new technology both outside and inside. The Mercedes G-Class is one of those cars that has hardly changed since it was first released in 1979. Its square and robust design are even today so attractive that it has hardly changed even in its latest generation which arrived in 2018. Only the technology and what is inside has changed.
This has also been true in recent years with the current model, however, Mercedes plans to continue refining its G-Class with a restyling that is already being prepared on German roads.
General characteristics
This is shown by this specimen hunted by our spies which, as is to be expected and although it presents camouflage on its front and rear, shows off its famous square shapes practically identical to those we already know. Where is Mercedes going to renew her G-Class then? Well, it seems that once again in the technological section. So we could see on the outside some renewed headlights with new front and rear LED lights, and it cannot even be ruled out that there are also changes to the bumpers.
Where the changes will be noticed again will be inside, where the new G-Class will receive the new MBUX infotainment system, and perhaps there will also be a complete redesign of the interior to offer a large central screen that follows the trend already seen in other high-end cars from Mercedes such as the S-Class, the SL or the EQS.
2024 Mercedes G-Class Range, prices, and launch
We will have to wait a little longer to see if the shots go that way, but what is clear is that the new G-Class will once again be one of the most exclusive cars from the star’s firm, and in this case, we could also be before the last G with a combustion powertrain since the objective of the German company was to fully electrify it in the next generations, already anticipated with the Mercedes Concept EQG.
At the moment, there are no possible release dates on the table, but it would not be strange to see it at some point between the next 2023 and the beginning of 2024.
