This year’s Monterey Car Week has reserved many surprises for us! Among very rare jewels and exclusive supercars, Bentley did not miss the opportunity to amaze everyone with a jewel to scream. We are talking about the Bentley Mulliner Batur, a luxurious grand touring coupe powered by a 6.0-liter W12 twin-turbo.
As the era of the internal combustion engine draws to a close, the English manufacturer has decided to honor its majestic 12-cylinder, making it more powerful than ever! A new intake system, upgraded turbochargers, a more efficient intercooler, and numerous recalibrations have pushed the Bentley W12 beyond all limits. The Batur was also equipped with a titanium exhaust system, complete with 3D printed finishes.

Thanks to all these changes, the W12 Biturbo now develops 740 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. This is about eighty hp and about 100 Nm more than the Continental GT Speed. The latter accelerates from 0 to 100 per hour in 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 335 km / h. Although Bentley refused to release detailed specifications on the car’s performance, we know for a fact that the engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Batur also features four-wheel steering, torque vectoring, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Added to this are adaptive air suspension and an electronic roll control system. The braking system then uses carbon-ceramic discs with ten-piston calipers at the front and four-piston at the rear.
Anticipate the Future
In addition to being the most powerful Bentley ever, the Batur stands out for its hi-tech design, which anticipates the stylistic language of the next battery-powered Bentleys. On the front stand out a new rather vertical grille and minimal headlights, a direct evolution of those used on the Bacalar.
The flowing and sleek lines are connected to the rear, giving the car a more sporty and muscular stage presence. Other noteworthy details include the foldable spoiler, the carbon fiber diffuser, and the immense 22-inch wheels that are specific to the model.
Made to Measure
The passenger compartment is designed to guarantee the customer the highest possible level of customization. You can choose finishes in a natural fiber or precious ornamental wood. Once the ideal Batur has been configured, the Mulliner division will handcraft the car. Production will be limited to 18 units, each of which will be offered at a base price of 1.94 million euros, with deliveries expected in the first half of 2023.
