BMW i4 M50 2022: Electric Gran Coupe about to debut

First official teaser of the new BMW i4 M50 2022. The cleaner alternative to The 4 Series Gran Coupé range will be offered in two versions and up to 530 hp.

The expected BMW i4 M50 already has a presentation date. It will debut at the beginning of next June, at a special event to be held in Los Angeles, the United States, where this BMW model will also be sold, which has started the house on the roof by first presenting the top-of-the-range version, such as appears in this teaser.

An advance that has been presented by a dealership of the brand in Bakersfield, which is also the first model in the range of electric cars to leave the BMW M workshops in Garching, so a dynamic and performance level of the first category. The preview shows that, despite being electric, sportiness is guaranteed with the design of the new grill arranged vertically and with the narrower kidneys.

The piece is closed with a black panel, as is the trim, which features splattered chrome inserts, while the bumper has a new style of air intakes, distinguishing it from the gasoline Ms. To a large extent, the main features that the new generation of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé also adopts.

The new i4 M50 is presented with an attractive blue body color, laser headlights, aerodynamically optimized alloy wheels, and special details such as the door handle recessed in the panels. In addition, it will have a new sports package that has been recently introduced, the “M Sport”, also available for the top of the range.

The alternative to the Tesla Model 3 will come with up to three versions, two more in addition to the powerful i4 M50, the “eDrive35” and “eDrive40”. The first with a single electric motor and the following two with two electric motors and with xDrive all-wheel drive, and with a maximum power of up to 390 kW, no less than 530 hp under the accelerator pedal with which it will reach 100 km / h in just 4 seconds. Between the axles, a powerful lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 80 kWh that will offer a maximum range of up to 590 kilometers, a figure that in the M50 will be reduced to 500 kilometers.
