BMW XM First details and first images

The second luxury SUV coupé from the Munich-based company, with a naturally tighter interior and a higher price, is called the BMW XM and not the BMW X8 M. Our photographers were able to take photos of the X7 offshoot for the second time, and there are also illustrations.

A new flagship is maturing in Bavaria and it’s not called the BMW X8 M. With the BMW XM comes a coupe-like version of the BMW X7. What the photos of a strong spyshot do not reveal, an official teaser of the sporty luxury SUV shows: The front is dominated by a large grill, the headlights are nothing more than narrow LED strips. On the sidelines, on the other hand, the X6 is not the godfather as originally intended, but the smaller X2.

The eye-catchers are undoubtedly the vertically arranged twin tailpipes, which could already adorn the entry-level model. The dimensions, with a length of almost 5.16 meters, a width of 2.21 meters, and a height of 1.81 meters, make it clear what a stately format the slightly more crouched super-luxury SUV should have.

While the X7 has seven seats in the interior as standard, the XM is likely to come with five and, in a special variant, also with four individual seats. The most important drive for the BMW XM will be the 4.4-liter V8 Biturbo gasoline engine, which with 530 hp is ideally suited to the forage and even comes to 625 hp in the competition version. The BMW XM, thanks to hybrid technology, should go to work with significantly more than 600 hp.

BUT NO BMW X8 M: EVERYTHING ABOUT PRICE & INTERIOR OF THE BMW XM

The BMW XM, which is particularly interesting for the USA and China, is to be shown for the first time in early December 2021 as part of Art Basel in Miami. As the name suggests, the super SUV is largely developed by M GmbH – a market launch for the 50th birthday of the performance department in 2022 would be perfect. How much the BMW XM Could cost cannot yet be precisely estimated. A price above at least 93,100 euros (as of November 2021) expensive X7 should be considered set.
