CEO reveals Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 Prices

At the end of June 2022, Polestar went public as part of a so-called SPAC. The IPO flushed almost 900 million US dollars into the coffers of the Volvo subsidiary. Money that is to be invested in the development of new models in particular.

This should also be an important basis for the goal of bringing a new vehicle onto the market every year and being able to increase sales tenfold by the end of 2025. Polestar aims to sell 290,000 vehicles by 2025. The e-SUV Polestar 3 should bring the first boost.

Polestar 3 price revealed

The vehicle is scheduled to celebrate its market premiere at the beginning of October. So far, little is known about the e-SUV with which Polestar is making its debut in the car segment. For example, it should have a range of 600 kilometers and should also allow autonomous driving in the future. Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath has now revealed the price range for the Polestar.

At an industry congress, Ingenlath explained that the price should be between $75,000 and $110,000. According to analysts, the Polestar 3 would target the Porsche Cayenne. So far, there is no fully electric version of the vehicle.

After Polestar sold around 21,000 vehicles in the first half of 2022 – at least 125 percent more than in the same period last year – 50,000 cars are to be sold by the end of the year. On the plus side, Polestar also has a major order from rental car provider Hertz.

Polestar 4

Polestar plans to deliver a total of 65,000 of its vehicles, including Polestar 3, to Hertz over the next five years. The company plans to sell around 24,000 Polestar 3 cars in 2023, 67,000 the following year, and 77,000 in 2025.

Compact E-SUV Polestar 4 for $55,000?

From next year, the compact SUV Polestar 4 will be added to the range of the Swedish carmaker. Even less is known about this vehicle than the Polestar 3. But judging by the official Polestar photo, where the Polestar 4 is still veiled, it should be shorter and lower than the Polestar 3.

The better aerodynamics could increase the range a bit. Ingenlath told Car Magazine that the Polestar 4 could eventually reach the $55,000 range. However, it has not been said whether this will already be the case when the market launches in 2023.
