The Citroen C4 and the electric version e-C4 can now be ordered. Visually, both models are innovative and unusual, as is typical of Citroen. Now Citroen has announced the prices – the entry-level price starts at less than 20,000 euros.
On June 30, 2020, the time had come, the Citroen C4 and its electric counterpart the ë-C4 celebrated their world premiere and can now also be ordered.

Citroen C4 2021 Prices
The two C4 models, which can be seen as the successors to the Cactus version, can now be ordered, the first deliveries will begin in December 2021. Prices are also now known, for the electric version e-C4 at least 33,766 euros are due. Those who opt for the classically powered C4 can get the entry-level version from 19,291 euros. However, this version will not be offered initially, the cheapest price for a market launch is 23,336 euros.
Citroen C4 2021 Engines
When it comes to engines, there is something for everyone. The electric version comes with a 50 kWh battery that delivers 136 hp and 260 Nm of torque. That is not outstanding, but for a compact crossover, it is okay and on par with the competition. The range of up to 350 kilometers (WLTP), however, is not quite as competitive if you look at Hyundai or KIA.
Three driving modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport – are available and the top speed in all three modes is 150 km / h. The ë-C4 can go from 0 to 100 km / h in sport mode in 9.7 seconds. If you have to charge your e-car, you can do this at a 100 kW fast-charging station up to 80% within 30 minutes or at an 11 kW charging station within 5 hours. Charging from a household socket is also possible, but it takes a long time.
Citroen also gives a guarantee on the battery: 8 years or 160,000 kilometers for 70 percent charging capacity. This also corresponds to the guarantee of the competition.
Those who cannot warm up to an electric car will also find the C4 as a gasoline or diesel engine. Three petrol engines with up to 155 HP are available, for diesel fans there is a choice of two engines with up to 130 HP. All engines can be combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic and also have the latest emissions standard 6d. Unfortunately, all-wheel drive is not available.
Technical data and exterior design
The current C4 Cactus is a compact SUV, the new edition is based on the now modern crossover design. Nevertheless, it has become a little bigger and is now 4.36 meters in length. If you look at the C4 from the side, the curved lines and playful details immediately catch the eye. Overall, the C4 is modern and youthful and stands out from the crowd of crossovers on the streets.
Noticeable features are also the high ground clearance, robust flanks, and the coupé-like sloping hatchback, which clearly shows it as a crossover. The aerodynamic lines and the raised body shape make the C4 look very modern. The taillights, which look a bit like eyebrows over narrowed eyes, are particularly striking.
Typical Citroen here are the narrower headlights, a narrow radiator grille that conveys sportiness, and the chrome-colored details on the side, which are a little reminiscent of the air bumps.
A fully electric version of the C4 could only be realized due to the CMP platform (Common Modular Platform), which can be used very flexibly.
Citroen C4 2021 Interior
In the interior, the new C4 scores with many assistance systems, to be precise there are 20 of them. There is, for example, a traffic jam assistant, a lane-keeping function, the head-up display, and a 10-inch touchscreen. Apple Car Play and Android Auto are also included, as well as a navigation system and a 180-degree camera if required.

You also get a lot of comforts thanks to the Advanced Comfort Package. This includes better seats, a stiffer body, and a retractable tablet holder for the passenger. There is enough storage space in the interior thanks to the 16 shelves with a total of 39 liters. The driving comfort is also good because many insulation measures for better noise regulation make it quiet while driving. The large glass surfaces let a lot of light penetrate the interior, which creates a certain feeling of freedom.
