Citroen C5 Aircross 2022: First Preview & Details

Citroen’s “C-Series” range is complemented by the addition of the C5 Aircross, a model that adopted special colors and materials as well as more complete equipment. This limited edition started with the C3 Aircross and C4 Cactus in late 2019.

Preceded by great international success, already accumulating around 130,000 units sold around the world and several of them in Colombia, the Citroen C5 Aircross receives in Europe the exclusive treatment of the special edition “C-Series”. Also applied to other models of the brand, it includes colors, materials, and equipment that increase the feeling of luxury.

The first feature is the new color package called Anodised Deep Red, with dark red accents on the air bumps, bumpers, and roof bars. Silver, white or blue accents are also available, the latter only in the plug-in hybrid version.

With body colors ranging from white to black to gray, there is a choice of two-tone paint with a black roof. The interior features a gray TEP dash with white stitching, with the Advanced Comfort seats featuring white stitching and a contrasting red horizontal band.

Configured in the Feel and Shine trim levels available in various European countries, the Citroen C5 Aircross “C-Series” includes various elements of connectivity, safety, and comfort as part of its internal equipment.

These include driving aids such as Driver Attention Alert, Collision Risk Alert, Smart Lights, Extended Traffic Sign Recognition and Recommendation, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function on models with an EAT8 automatic transmission.

Other accessories include the multimedia center with Connect Nav, Connect Assist, and Connect Play, keyless entry and start, a backup camera with extended vision, and dark-colored rear windows.

These options can be obtained with any of the mechanics available in Europe. That is, the 1.2 Turbo PureTech of 130 horses with a 6- 6-speed manual gearbox, and the 1.6 Turbo PureTech of 180 horses with EAT8 gearbox on gasoline.

Also available are the 1.5 and 2.0-liter BlueHDi Diesel, with 130 and 180 horsepower, which with gasoline, join the plug-in hybrid with 225 horsepower and 50 km of electric range.

Starting next June 1, European customers will be able to place their orders for this special limited series SUV. Later, other models of the brand will also join the “C-Series” line.
