Cupra UrbanRebel design
Cupra has now presented its new concept vehicle called UrbanRebel. It should be an outlook on the future design language of the planned performance model for the urban environment. Cupra’s design philosophy is reflected in this concept vehicle.
The front section has been equipped with the shark’s nose and designed with a negative surface. There is also a greater emphasis on the triangular signature headlights. Also noticeable is the attached panorama pane, which is drawn from front to back as if from a single piece. Therefore, the roof looks like a helmet that hovers over the vehicle. This detail is unlikely to be seen in the production vehicle.
Kind of like a predator waiting to be released. This is not surprising when you consider that motorsport is in the genes of the brand and therefore an urban electric car is to be created in the guise of a racing car. The rear is unmistakable due to the large spoiler – which of course should show the reference to racing.
Technical data and motors
The UrbanRebel is 4.08 meters long, 1.79 meters wide and 1.44 meters high – and thus fits nicely into the compact car segment.
The continuous output of the concept is a whopping 340 hp and the peak output – watch out! – enormous 435 hp. The Rebel accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h in just 3.2 seconds.
Cupra UrbanRebel Sales start
Cupra states that the market launch of the production vehicle should be in 2025. The online premiere took place on September 1st. The UrbanRebel will celebrate its public premiere at the IAA Mobility in Munich.
