Electric cars under 30,000 euros in 2021

The prices for electric cars have fallen massively in recent years. In addition, there are high premiums and subsidies for e-cars such as the innovation premium. We’ll show you which electric cars you can get for less than 30,000 euros.

Skoda Enyaq iV

The SUV in coupe shape is the first independently developed electric car from Skoda and thanks to its modern design it is also quite popular. Depending on how sporty you want to be, the battery with the smallest battery with 55 kWh is enough for a range of up to 340 kilometers, if you choose the strongest, 82 kWh battery, you can go up to 536 kilometers if you don’t drive too fast.

Thanks to the innovation bonus, the price of the Enyaq falls below 30,000 euros.

VW ID.3

VW ID3

The first member of the ID. Family comes with many pre-configured variants and modern equipment. The ID.3 looks a lot and after the problems with the software have been resolved, you can also enjoy the technology. With a range of a maximum of 550 kilometers, the compact car is also easy to use in everyday life. Except for the choice of materials in the interior, we have nothing to complain about – but here you could have done a little more effort.

VW ID.4

And another VW ID model. As a compact SUV, the ID.4 comes with a better overview and plenty of space. As far as performance is concerned, this model also has a maximum of 204 hp – if you want more, you have to go for the GTX version. The ID.4 is suitable as a motorhome because you can travel up to 520 kilometers and if you have to refuel with up to 125 kW at a fast-charging station, this can be done in 45 minutes.

Audi Q4 e-Tron

Audi Q4 e-Tron

Hard to believe, but there is also an electric Audi for less than 30,000 euros. We are talking about the Q4 e-Tron, which in the basic version is a little more than 28,000 euros, the innovation premium has already been deducted. You don’t have to worry about sufficient comfort and the latest technology at Audi. And 299 hp output is also impressive.

  1. Kia e-Niro

If you are into SUVs, you should take a look at the KIA e-Niro. Hardly any electric SUV can keep up with the price of the e-Niro. It does well in terms of range and outperforms many e-cars in the price segment. Up to 455 kilometers at a time are possible with the 64 kWh battery.

Hyundai Kona Elektro

Compact SUVs stand for lifestyle and that is what the Hyundai Kona Elektro exudes in particular. It is not only up to date with its up to 204 hp electric drive, but also offers plenty of customization options, especially with the two-tone paintwork. Although the Kona Elektro has been on the market for a long time, it cuts a fine figure in terms of range. Up to 289 kilometers are possible with the basic model. In the variant with a large battery, this even increases to 449 kilometers.

Hyundai IONIQ

Hyundai IONIQ

For less than 30,000 euros, you can get an electric limousine in the form of the Hyundai IONIQ Elektro with. In the current version, there is a little less luggage space available at 350 liters, but the IONIQ offers plenty of comforts and good equipment. After all, with a length of 4.47 meters, the Hyundai is the largest electric car in this price segment. Despite the relatively small battery, the IONIQ Elektro has a decent range of 311 kilometers.

KIA e-Soul

With the e-Soul, you get an edgy and modern electric SUV, which is available with either a 39.2 or 64 kWh battery. This goes hand in hand with the power of the electric motor, with up to 136 or 204 hp. In addition to the pure power, the range speaks in favor of the larger battery. With it, up to 452 kilometers are possible, while the smaller version only comes to 277 kilometers.

Peugeot e-2008

Building on the smaller Peugeot e-208 and another candidate among the electric SUVs is the Peugeot e-2008. It is one of the most fashion-conscious vehicles in this category. Like its little brother, the off-road version also has the futuristic i-cockpit with the 3D instrument cluster. In terms of drive, the same 136 hp electric motor is used and, at 320 kilometers, offers around 20 kilometers less range, which is due to the higher weight. These losses benefit the space available, for example with the trunk volume of 405 liters.

Honda e

Not even the MINI Cooper SE 3-door can exude as much retro charm as the Honda e, which is unique in this respect. However, this comes at a high price, which at first glance seems inappropriate given the compact dimensions of the electric car. But the Honda e offers enormous intrinsic values. The use of space is good and the cockpit is second to none. The signs point to digitality: from the two 12.3-inch touchscreens to the camera-based exterior mirrors, everything is framed by an elegant dashboard with a wooden look. At the same time, the Honda e is positioned as a city car with a range of 210 kilometers without further ado.

Mazda MX-30

If you like it special and extravagant, you are spot on with a Mazda – and the MX-30 electric SUV is no exception here because opposing doors without a B-pillar, a very modern but still quite clean design, and environmentally friendly materials overall surprisingly high-quality interior make it something special. The range is not quite as convincing at 262 kilometers, but the driving performance is. Overall, the price-performance ratio is good and the Mazda is worth considering.
