Electric Fisker Ocean already has official range

One of the data that remained to be known about the Fisker Ocean before its commercial landing was its range, which has been revealed, leaving behind very good news.

One of the electric cars whose landing in Europe is most eagerly awaited is the Fisker Ocean. The first model of the renewed brand arrives with a very striking display in terms of design, technology, and efficiency. Now the brand knows what range each of the versions that will reach our market of its offspring will achieve.

From the beginning, the idea of Henry Fisker has been to present electricity of reasonable price and high capacities. The Ocean has all the arguments to revolutionize the market. In the middle of last year, without having completed its development stage and without knowing its most important aspects, the company announced that the first wave of production had already been reserved and that more than 56,000 requests had accumulated on the reservation table. A complete success before beginning its most critical stage.

Production started on November 17 of last year. The Magna Steyr plant in Austria assembled the first units of the Ocean. A very important milestone that began with very discreet figures. Barely 300 units have been produced during the first quarter, but if the estimates are met, 2023 will close with 43,000 Ocean assembled, less than the accumulated reserves. We are sure that, based on the new revelations, many potential buyers will join that list, even if the wait is delayed by more than a year.

Fisker Ocean range

By size, the Ocean is comfortably established in the D-SUV category where it faces important rivals such as the aforementioned Model Y or the Ford Mustang Mach-e. 4.77 meters long, 199 meters wide, and 1.63 meters long with a wheelbase of 2.92 meters. Under that attractive and unique bodywork hides a 100 kWh capacity lithium-ion battery with NMC (Nickel, Manganese, and Cobalt) chemistry with a 400-volt architecture. You can charge at a maximum power of 250 kW in direct current and up to 11 kW in alternating current. Fisker announces that it is capable of achieving up to 408 kilometers of range in just 30 minutes.

The offer will offer three different versions in terms of equipment and benefits. The basic unit delivers a single engine with 279 HP of power and an approved range of 440 kilometers. Above him, the Ultra version with dual motor, 544 CV, and an approved range of 610 kilometers is offered. And finally, there is the Extreme version that reaches a performance of 557 CV and an approved range of 708 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. Thanks to this, the Fisker Ocean can say that it is the model in the category with the best-approved range.

Regarding the price, the objective has always been to sell at a reasonable cost. In March of last year, an exit fee of 41,900 euros was announced for Europe, although the data for the higher-performance versions remains to be known. There are still no specific prices for each version in our country, but thanks to the Fisker configurator in the United Kingdom we can reveal that the price of the Ultra version will have an estimated cost of 57,000 euros, while the Extreme finish with its 708 kilometers of the range will be available from 70,000 euros. Keep in mind that it not only offers a long haul but also has unique equipment items.
