F1 Hungarian GP 2022: Free practice results

The Hungaroring appointment represents once again the last commitment for teams and drivers before the summer break. The tortuous Budapest track in recent years has given many spectacular races, also thanks to weather that often reserved surprises. Proof of this is the 2021 edition, won by Esteban Ocon at the end of a Sunday in which everything happened because of the rain. Pole position, in the dry, was achieved by Lewis Hamilton with a time of 1:15.419.

RESULTS OF SATURDAY

PL3 – Surprisingly, Nicholas Latifi is the fastest in the third free practice session of the Hungarian GP. An hour strongly conditioned by the rain and the asphalt which improved in the final minutes. Charles Leclerc is still second, ahead of Alex Albon’s other Williams.

RESULTS OF FRIDAY

PL2 – Ferrari again on Friday at the Hungaroring, with Charles Leclerc setting the best time in the second free practice session of the Hungarian GP. McLaren is confirmed as competitive, placing Lando Norris second, ahead of Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen.

PL1 – Ferrari starts well with the best time of Carlos Sainz in the first free practice session of the Hungarian GP. The Spaniard precedes Max Verstappen by one-tenth and Charles Leclerc by two. A good debut also for McLaren who finished fourth with Lando Norris and eighth with Daniel Ricciardo. Among them, are Sergio Perez and the two Mercedes.
