The North American manufacturer Ford has a 20-year relationship with a famous cattle ranch in Texas. To celebrate it big and after the launch in 2001 of the first F-150 of the series which they called ‘King Ranch’, the oval brand presents a new anniversary edition that now includes the Explorer model of the firm.
It is the new Ford Explorer King Ranch 2021. This SUV is shown with a variety of luxury details, predominantly two-tone brown leather for the cabin. Its launch price will start at $ 52,350 (€ 42,822) for the rear-wheel-drive version, while the all-wheel-drive variant starts from $ 54,350 (€ 44,460). Its arrival in the showrooms will take place this spring.
Ford Explorer King Ranch Exterior and interior details
On the outside, we find the King Ranch logo in the shape of a ‘ W ‘ printed on the center cap of the 20-inch wheels. It also highlights a mesh grille in Stone Gray color specific for this version and a protective plate on the liftgate, while in its series we will have quadruple chrome exhaust tips.
In its cabin, its upholstery is composed of ‘Mesa del Río’ leather with the King Ranch W emblems printed in various parts of the interior. We also find a sewn and leather-lined instrument binnacle and genuine open-pore wood inserts. Its seats benefit from a massage function, while at the technological level it is enriched by a 10.1-inch touch screen with a B&O premium audio system. For its part, in terms of safety, it has the Co-Pilot360 Assist + system.

Its mechanical offer only includes a propeller. This is the 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 that puts out 370 hp and 515 Nm of torque. It will be more successful with 10-speed automatic transmission. The new 2021 Ford Explorer King Ranch can be ordered in rear or all-wheel drive, this being the first version of the truck to be offered in this configuration. Its towing capacity, based on its standard-fit Class III package, allows it to tow up to 5,600 pounds.
