Ford Fiesta 2022 Debut With New Face & New Price

The Ford Fiesta Facelift will go on sale in early 2022. The little Cologne, which is still available in the ST-Line and as Fiesta Active, now confidently bears the blue logo on the larger radiator grille. That’s its price and the engines.

The Ford Fiesta facelift will roll into dealers’ showrooms at the beginning of 2022 for 14,600 euros (as of September 2021). The long-running favorite remains a real Cologne, the location of the headquarters of Ford of Europe – the brand with the blue logo has set up shop in the cathedral city. The group has been building cars in the Rhine metropolis for more than 90 years, and the Fiesta since 1976.

The engineers from the development center in Cologne-Merkenich have taken on the current eighth model generation of small cars, which have been built since 2017, and have now pulled the sheet off the newly formed sheet metal: the facelift is subtle but unusual. The most striking visual change is the now higher radiator grille, which confidently bears the logo in its center.

Instead, the newly designed bonnet is a little higher. In addition, the manufacturer is now making the individual models of the Ford Fiesta Facelift (2022) easier to distinguish: the upper grille of the Trend equipment line has horizontal struts and a bezel made of high-gloss chrome, as well as striking side ventilation slots. For the Ford Fiesta Titanium, the cross braces are also chrome-plated. As the ST-Line, the sporty character comes to the fore thanks to a lower radiator grille with a high-gloss black honeycomb insert.

FORD FIESTA FACELIFT (2022) AGAIN AS ST-LINE & ACTIVE

Ford Fiesta 2022

As before, the Ford Fiesta Facelift (2022) is also available as a three- or five-door model and as an Active in a rustic look with increased ground clearance. The engine range, which Ford only renewed for the 2020 model year, is retained: only three-cylinder petrol engines with an output of 75 to 155 hp are offered.

The versions with 125 PS and 155 PS are mild hybrids with 48-volt technology. An automatic transmission (seven-speed dual-clutch) can also be selected for the 125 hp mild-hybrid Fiesta. In addition, the Fiesta is now optionally available with Matrix LED headlights. The safety equipment has also been further improved. The lively Cologne is now also available with a wrong-way driver warning function. In addition, a wide range of modern electronic helpers is available.
