The Mustang Mach-E is Ford’s entry into the world of electric SUVs, and of course, it can’t be a normal Ford, something special has to be produced – namely a Mustang model.

Mach-E 2021 Prices
The Mustang Mach-E was presented as early as 2019, the market launch of the little electric horse has finally begun, starting at 46,900 euros, if you want the Mach-E with a large battery, you have to spend at least 54,475 euros.
Anyone who doubts whether the Mach-E is also a real Mustang in terms of performance will be quickly convinced. The right performance version GT will not come until the end of 2021 and then produce 487 hp and 860 Nm of torque and manage the jump from 0 to 100 km / h in a very good 3.7 seconds. You don’t notice much of weight of almost 2.5 tons while driving, because the batteries have become large and have been installed in such a way that the center of gravity is very good and the Mach-E also shows great handling in corners.
The volume models have, so to speak, a dual-motor onboard and an 88 kWh battery, all-wheel drive, and generate 351 hp and 580 Nm of torque. The standard Mach-E also gallops to 100 km / h in 5.1 seconds – better than a Porsche Macan S – the top speed is 180 km / h. The range is specified by Ford as a very good 540 kilometers, which would be more than the Audi e-Tron.
There is also a version that has only one motor on the rear axle, the entry-level model. If a 68 kWh battery is installed, it has an output of 269 PS, with the more powerful 88 kWh battery it is 294 PS. The range is then either 440 or 610 kilometers.
Of course, the Mustang Mach-E can also be charged at fast-charging stations with up to 150 kW and should then have enough energy again within ten minutes that you can travel 100 kilometers. If the larger battery only has 10 percent remaining energy, it can be fully recharged up to 80 percent in 45 minutes. Ford is also using the “Intelligent Range” function as standard in the Mach-E for the first time. With the help of this, a realistic range forecast can be created.
Mach-E 2021 Design
That the Mach-E is a real Mustang, there is no doubt when you look at the optics. The long hood and the almost sexy-looking, flared fenders at the rear together with the typical Mustang taillights make an almost perfect Mustang overall impression. Almost because the otherwise typical conventional handles are missing – the Mach-E is just modern and therefore comes with sensor-controlled doors, which does not seem practical.
The Mach-E is inspired by the Mustang, which immediately reveals the Mustang logo on the front. The bonnet is quite long because there is an additional trunk underneath. The side of the Mach-E is somewhat reminiscent of a coupé, which is achieved by contrasting the roof with a dark color and letting it fall backward.
A look at the stern reveals the relationship with the Mustang most of all. The taillights have almost been taken over, but have also been supplemented with horizontal LED strips.
With a length of 4.71 meters, a width of 1.88 meters, and a height of 1.62 meters, the Mustang Mach-E will be a very good representative of the compact SUVs.
Mach-E 2021 Interior
The first thing that strikes you in the interior is the huge, upright screen, which is designed as a 15.5-inch monitor. It floats freely but cannot be rotated and can be operated using the touchscreen. A rotating ring is also attached. There is also a smaller screen behind the steering wheel, which provides the driver with the most important vehicle information.
In the center console, there is a second rotary control with which the speed levels can be set. There is also an inductive charging option for a smartphone. You will certainly sit comfortably because even if the Mach-E looks like a coupé, it is an SUV and therefore has enough space for the head and legs. What we find a bit strange is that the additional trunk in the bonnet has its drain. So you can throw wet things in without any problems.
The trunk volume is divided into two parts because of course, you have the classic luggage compartment, in which 402 to 1,420 liters fit. At the front, there is also a small cargo space under the bonnet, which provides another 100 liters.
