The rumor about the return of an F variant with the IS sedan is confirmed today as Lexus launches the IS 500 F Sport Performance. And, interestingly, the latter becomes the first in a new line of models taking the name of F Sport Performance.
The names revolving around the letter F are not new at Lexus while we are doing a little semantics here. We have already seen F models, pure sports powered by a V8 engine. There is always one in the catalog with the RC, by the way. Then, the F Sport options packages are available with many models, but they do not necessarily offer a much higher level of performance.
