Mercedes B-Class 2023: Spyshot on Test Drive

A facelift is coming up for the Mercedes B-Class. Now a specimen has been photographed during test drives. There will be a facelift for the Mercedes B-Class later this year. As usual, the front and rear will be revised. We do not expect evolutionary changes.

Exterior design

The current version of the B-Class has been on the road since the end of 2018, so it’s time for an update. As you can see in the pictures, the changes will mainly be limited to the front and rear. As is usual with a facelift, there will be only slight adjustments. Innovations are to be expected, especially on the aprons, grill, and headlights.

It is not clear whether all the lights will be changed or just a new light graphic.

Engines and specifications

It is also questionable whether you will see great changes in the engines. Gasoline, diesel, and a plug-in hybrid are currently in the range – and it will probably stay that way. If you look at the B-Class’s biggest opponent, the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, the hybrid could do with some improvement in terms of all-electric range. The BMW has a range of 90 kilometers, while the current B-Class only has 77 kilometers.

Overall, it is expected that improvements will eventually be made in terms of efficiency and performance.

Mercedes B-Class prices and the start of sales

When exactly the facelift will come onto the market is still unclear. We assume that the revised model cannot be expected before the end of 2022 or even early 2023. Accordingly, the question of the price of the B-Class is still open.
