Mercedes shows the interior of EQE SUV

On October 16, Mercedes-Benz will reveal to the world the latest addition to its electric range, the new EQE SUV. This SUV will fit into the E segment (executives) and will come to complement the well-known EQS SUV below; in addition, it will also indirectly replace the smaller EQC.

From a technical point of view, the EQE SUV will be identical to the EQE, EQS, and EQS SUV; therefore, it will use the EVA2 modular platform, and it will likely be the last model of the star firm to use this architecture, which will be replaced in the middle of the decade by the brand new MB.EA.

Although no exterior images or technical data of the EQE SUV have been revealed at the moment, Mercedes-Benz has shown its interior to whet your appetite. As expected, there are no surprises here either, since its dashboard, dominated by the huge MBUX Hyperscreen display, is very similar to that of its brothers.

Developed as a “multipurpose variant” of the EQE, the main difference between the two models will be the gain in space provided by the SUV in all its dimensions (head, knees, elbows…). According to Mercedes-Benz, the EQE SUV will be one of the most comfortable vehicles in its category, although it is unlikely that it will be available with three rows of seats, an option that we can find in the EQB and EQS SUVs.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV will be very similar to the EQE sedan

The cabin of the electric SUV will be made with high-quality materials; namely: wood, aluminum, 3D anthracite, metallic pigments… The color scheme of the images is really interesting, as it combines warm and cold tones thanks to the use of five different colors (Balao Brown, Neva Grey…).

If finally, the EQE SUV maintains the mechanics of the EQE sedan, it should be available in 350+, AMG 43 4MATIC, and AMG 53 4MATIC+ versions. In all three cases, the battery pack would have a useful capacity of 90.6 kWh, with a maximum charging power of 170 kW in direct current (10-80% in 32 minutes).

Recall that the EQE 350+ is rear-wheel drive and offers 292 hp (215 kW). The AMG models, with a sportier cut, have all-wheel drive. The AMG 43 4MATIC announces 476 hp (350 kW), while the AMG 53 4MATIC+ goes to 626 hp (460 kW) , although its power can be increased to 687 hp (505 kW) with the AMG Dynamic Plus pack.
