As the manufacturer has published in a statement, this model is ready “to make the transition to electrification.” The new Nissan Townstar is built on the Nissan e-NV200.
The new Nissan Townstar with a fully electric powertrain will equip a 44 kWh battery that the brand says will have “very low maintenance and operating costs.” It is important to note that this engine will offer a range of 285 kilometers and 245 Nm of maximum torque, according to the WLTP approval cycle.
Nissan has also ensured that the new Nissan Townstar “is developed to offer optimal efficiency and versatility in urban environments, as it has two powertrain solutions to meet the needs of professional and private customers.”

The body with seating for passengers will be the only one that will be available with a gasoline engine. Its strengths are spaciousness, habitability, brightness, and, of course, load capacity. This version will equip a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that belongs to the new Euro 6D-Full standard. It is capable of offering a power of 130 hp and 240 Nm of maximum torque.
In terms of technological equipment, the new Nissan van will offer gusty wind assistant, trailer assistant, driver assistance systems, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, cross-traffic assistant, intelligent cruise control, and hands-free parking. It is also important to note that the manufacturer has equipped its new electrified member with the AVM, Around View Monitor. This system allows you to see what is happening around the van 360 degrees. Likewise, it will also equip the brand’s ProPILOT system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and the E-call emergency system.
The dashboard will be dominated by an eight-inch touch screen that can be linked to the digital instrument panel that features a ten-inch screen. It should be noted that the new Nissan Townstar is developed on the Alliance CMF-CD platform of the Renault-Nissan alliance. On the sides, the new van has two side doors that are intended to facilitate the loading and unloading of the vehicle. Additionally, users can choose either a 63:33 180-degree rear door opening or a tailgate. The new Townstar can tow up to 1,500 kg and carry up to 800 kg. It has a load capacity of 3.9 cubic meters. According to Nissan itself, it can transport two European pallets.
