This Opel Combo-e Cargo is available in two lengths. The normal body measures 4.4 meters and has a wheelbase of 2.78, being able to transport objects up to 3.09 meters in length. For its part, the extra-long XL body is 4.75 meters long. The battle extends to 2.97 and can carry objects up to 3.44 meters inside.

But going back to the electrical system section, this Combo-e Cargo uses a 50 kWh lithium ion battery. The German brand comments that in a 100 kW DC public charging station, recharging to 80% of its capacity is done in around 30 minutes. Of course this is a fast charge. In a domestic outlet or in a Wallbox, it will be several hours, although Opel does not specify the data.

This battery is in charge of feeding the electric motor, which goes in the front part. Provides 100 kW (136 hp) and 260 Nm of torque, so it does not have enough benefits outside the city. In terms of performance, its maximum speed is set at 130 km / h to maintain the battery, while it can do the 0 to 100 km / h in 11.2 seconds.

It will be available at dealerships this fall, joining the Vivaro-e as the latest member of Opel’s family of all-electric light commercials. The next model will be the new Movano-e and will also be launched in 2021.

Opel Combo-e Cargo profile

One of the most striking things is that this Opel Combo-e Cargo comes with a new driving mode in the Intelligrip system. The usual thing is to have programming modes such as mud, sand or snow, for example. In this case add the “work” mode, which will adapt the response of the engine and the management of the electronics in a different way.

Other assistants are the Hill Descent Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Trailer Stability Control. In infotainment there is no lack of an 8-inch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as two different systems: Multimedia Radio and Multimedia Radio Navi Pro.
