Porsche is giving the Macan a facelift for 2021. Also included are new colors for the exterior and interior, faster engines, and attractive design highlights.

Exterior design
Visually, the new Macan will be one thing above all else: sportier! The nose has been redesigned and comes with an insert in the exterior color. The grille is subtle and narrow.
Once the Macan has passed, you can see the rear. New technical 3D elements are convincing here.
In terms of equipment, Porsche has raised the standard. All versions of the Macan are factory-fitted with LED headlights including the Porsche Dynamic Light System. The sport-design exterior mirrors are also always included from now on.
There are also larger tires: the Macan comes with 19 inches, the Macan S with 20 inches, and the Macan GTS with 21 inches. In addition, Porsche developed seven new wheel designs.
Anyone who would like to customize their Macan, even more, will enjoy the expanded color palette. The facelift brings 14 new colors to the repertoire. These include gaudy tones such as papaya metallic, gentian blue metallic, and python green.
Porsche Macan 2022 Interior
In the interior, Porsche becomes more minimalist. Similar to many other brands, the buttons are reduced and replaced by haptic buttons. This should make the cockpit more intuitive. The analog clock on the upper edge of the fitting is now always on board.
The car comes with a large 10.9-inch full HD touch infotainment display. Online functions and services can be controlled here by touch or voice commands. We already know the new multifunction sports steering wheel from the 911.
Leather covers with contrasting stitching in Gentian Blue, Papaya, or Crayo can also be selected for the interior to match the new exterior color palette.
Those who want even more sporty can choose the GTS sports package. Then comes the car with sports seats, a carbon interior package, Race-Tex upholstery, leather elements, contrasting stitching, and the GTS lettering in Python Green.
Engines and driving behavior
The facelift not only brings visual advantages but is also evident in the engine compartment. All equipment variants of the sports car come with more power and faster engines.
The entry-level model starts with a V4 engine that offers 265 hp and a top speed of 232 km / h. Here the car can go from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds.
It’s faster with the Macan S. This is equipped with a 2.9-liter V6 engine with 380 hp. This enables the car to go from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds. However, it doesn’t get faster than 259 hp here.
Those who want more speed opt for the Macan GTS. Here comes the 2.9-liter V6 engine with 440 hp, which is 60 hp more than before. This increase in power ensures that the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds. The top speed is 272 km / h.
What all engines have in common are the 7-speed automatic drive and the Porsche all-wheel-drive system.
In addition to the range of engines, Porsche has also revised the chassis again. The new setup should offer a balance between suspension comfort and agile driving behavior. While driving, the chassis should react more sensitively to the road, which increases the feedback on the steering wheel.
A new feature is PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), which can regulate the damping of the individual wheels separately. This system is always included in the S and GTS models; it can be ordered for a surcharge for the standard model.
The GTS would not be the high-end model if only the engine offered more power: Here, customers also receive sports air suspension that lowers the ride height by 10 mm. As a result, drivers rush: inside even lower above the ground. In addition, the air suspension of the new model should now be over 10% stiffer and the front axle 15% tighter than the previous model.
Anyone who orders the GTS Sport Package for this sporty standard equipment of the GTS will receive 21-inch tires in a chic GT design, the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), and the Sport Chrono Package.
Porsche Macan 2022 prices and the start of sales
The Macan can be ordered from July 20, 2021. The entry-level model will cost around 55,693 euros, the Macan S is around 62,126 euros, and the Macan GTS will be available from 75,495 euros. The first deliveries are planned for October 2021.
