Renault Kadjar 2022: Prototypes spotted on test drive

Our spy photographers have managed to get closer than ever to one of the latest test units of the future Renault Kadjar. The new generation of the French crossover will have a much more modern and stylish design, but the same robust SUV silhouette that characterizes it today.

It was last April that we were able to see one of the development prototypes of the future generation of the Renault Kadjar 2022, the second iteration of the French crossover that will arrive in the autumn of this year and will debut in dealerships during the spring of next year, so it is already facing its last phase of testing.

On that occasion, the prototypes of the Kadjar 2022 were hunted during their winter tests in the Scandinavian peninsula, but now we have found a prototype of the future crossover rolling in southern Europe and also, this new series of spy photos have been taken from much closer. Which allows us to see in more detail the characteristics of these camouflaged units.

The Renault Kadjar is one of the most important models in the French firm’s European range, so we can expect a considerable evolution of this new generation, whose design has been inspired by the Renault Mégane eVision and Renault Morphoz prototypes.

This new series of spy photos show us a prototype with characteristics very similar to the one that was sighted in northern Europe last April, but it has slightly more uncovered front optics that therefore better show its internal elements. Although given the configuration of the camouflage, we are still a long way from being able to say that these prototypes are more uncovered.

Its vinyl camouflage is integral and therefore we find both the front and the sides and the rear completely hidden, so we can only intuit the features that will characterize this model. What we do know is that this new generation is going to bet heavily on electrification, like the new Nissan Qashqai, so we are going to find a mechanical range with several hybrid versions.
