One of the most anticipated versions of the Seat Leon starts its commercialization in Europe. We refer to the 190 hp 2.0 TSI petrol engine, which has a magnificent ratio between performance and consumption. Do you want to know more details?
Recently, the Seat Leon 2021 introduced an important novelty: the 1.5 TGI 130 hp natural gas version with the DGT ECO label. In addition, the 2.0 TDI diesel variant with 4Drive traction will arrive very soon.
And if that was not enough, we are talking about another very attractive version, equipped with the 2.0 TSI gasoline engine. It’s objective? Measure the 178 hp BMW 120i, the 182 hp Ford Focus 1.5 EcoBoost and Honda Civic 1.5 VTEC Turbo, the new 186 hp Mazda 3 e-SKYACTIV X, the 184 hp Toyota Corolla 180H or the imminent DS 4 1.6 PureTech from 180 hp.
As in the new Audi A1 Sportback 40 TFSI and Volkswagen Polo GTI 2021, the Seat Leon incorporates a two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, although, with a slightly different power: compared to the 207 hp of the urban, the compact offers 190 hp. Of course, it is also linked to a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The new 190 hp Seat León 2.0 TSI DSG has extremely interesting performance figures. It transmits a maximum torque of 320 Nm – between 1,500 and 4,100 rpm – to the front axle, accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 231 km / h. This “camouflaged GTI” does not disappoint with its consumption either: between 6.7 and 6.8 liters for the demanding WLTP cycle.

Although the Seat León 2021 has a great dynamic behavior, this version receives some noteworthy elements. In fact, unlike the other simpler variants, it equips an advanced multi-link rear suspension – which the plug-in hybrid does have. In addition, the brake system is reinforced with 310 mm front discs – while in the 1.5 ETSI they have a diameter of 288 mm.

The 190 hp Seat Leon 2.0 TSI DSG should arrive in Spain shortly since it is already available in various countries such as France or Germany. If we take the latter as a reference, it is offered with two finishes -Xcellence and FR- and for the moment with the five-door body. With the completion of the sports, it has a starting price of 31,020 euros, which represents an increase of 1,370 euros compared to the 1.5 eTSI DSG FR.
