Almost a year in tests rolling camouflaged accumulates the development of the Skoda Karoq Facelift 2022. The last time we saw the compact SUV of the Czech brand was on a test day in the Austrian Alps. With a presentation scheduled for the second half of the year, the Karoq features minimal camouflage, hiding a grille that will be thinner and more three-dimensional like seen on the Kodiaq and Enyaq iV, and thinner headlights now more integrated with the grille. , at the same time that the second headlights have been preserved, although now somewhat larger. The large air intake that runs across the bottom, from one end of the bumper to the other, has also been redesigned.

From behind, the pilots will retain the luminous style in the shape of a “C”, but the headlamps will be updated. A discreet facelift that will give a more modern air to the whole, and one of the most important models of the brand. Inside, there will also be new features, highlighting a new infotainment system, with a higher resolution touch screen, in addition to the new “Laura” assistant.

  1. Love the new look on the nose of this new 2022 Karoq! A massive improvement, that with matrix headlights will be fantastic. I only hope VW Australia which manage Skoda vehicles that come into Australia don’t remove the new 1.5L 110Tsi engine with cylinder deactivation with better economy for the old 1.4L engine with NO cylinder deactivation. I wish there was a hybrid version that came to Australia to give the hugely popular Toyota RAV4 hybrid a run for it’s money. Clearly the Skoda is a much better quality car but the hybrid technology that really saves fuel is the smart shift for Australia with our vast distances because pure EV range anxiety is huge and now our state government have introduced a new tax (per kilometre) for all EV and PHEV vehicles!
