The compact Skoda Scala gets an update in the middle of the model cycle. A camouflaged model of the upcoming facelift is already on test drives. We have pictures and information for you.
The Skoda Scala compact car is in the middle of the model cycle, so, understandably, there is already a camouflaged Erlkönig on the test track. The facelift won’t bring many changes, however.

Skoda Scala 2022 Price
The current Scala has been on the market since spring 2019, so we don’t expect the facelift before June 2022. We assume that there will be no major changes in price. The current model starts at 18,690 euros. The starting price of the updated model will probably also be around 19,000 euros.
Skoda Scala 2022 Exterior
The front and rear of the Scala facelift are still covered during test drives – something will typically change in these parts. However, we assume that the Scala will only be given an optically very subtle update. The taillights don’t seem to be changed at all, there are small changes to the headlights.

As is also known from facelifts, there will certainly be new colors and aluminum rims that give the Scala a new look, although not much else has been changed in the design. The changes will more likely take place in the area of technology.
Technical data and motors
With engines, the focus will be on reducing CO2 emissions. We, therefore, assume that the engines will be updated, with the base engine still being a gasoline engine coupled with a manual transmission.
For the more expensive versions, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is sure to be available again. It is still unclear whether the Scala will get a diesel engine. The VW Group is turning away more and more from diesel units, so we cannot say anything for sure here.
Skoda Scala 2022 Interior
The revised Scala is to be equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment unit. It is also possible to set new color accents or introduce new fabrics for the seats. Nothing has yet been communicated in detail here.
More clever solutions, as we know and expect from Skoda, should move into the Scala. The wheelbase is enlarged, which leads to more space in the interior. We have to wait for more.
