Tesla’s most anticipated electric pickup is ready

Tesla’s electric pick-up is getting closer to seeing the light. Elon Musk acknowledges being excited about the steps that are being taken at the Texas plant.

It is the most anticipated launch this year for Tesla. The long-awaited electric pick-up is completing its last steps before becoming a production model. The employees of the Texas Gigafactory work piecemeal to finish the infrastructure necessary for its assembly. In parallel, the engineers and the entire development team continue to burn stages in the testing phase. A new unit has been discovered circulating the facility and giving clear evidence that the final design is complete.

Some reports suggest that Tesla already has more than 1.5 million reservations for the Cybertruck. If the rumors are true, we could be facing the greatest success of the company in its entire history. During the last few years, a great stir has been formed in everything concerning the most extreme vehicle of the company. Announced and unveiled in 2019, delays and issues have piled up on the design and development team’s table. The expectations are so high that Tesla knows that it has to offer the best of the best and even push its limits to fulfill its customers.

Innovations crowd around the Cybertruck project. Despite its size, Tesla will be able to make the subframe in two large castings . A technique that until now was thought impossible. As a result, the electric pick-up will not only be able to be manufactured faster but will also offer unique capabilities of its kind. Your starter battery will be another big focus. The usual lead acid will be replaced by a compact and lightweight 48-volt lithium-ion battery.

The unit unveiled in drone view, rolls around the Fremont Gigafactory test track looking definitive. The site continues to attract attention, especially if we compare it with other vehicles in the factory. We do not know what specific work is being carried out, but we do know that Tesla has already completed the first crash tests of the Cybertruck on April 1. The results have not been published, but everything indicates that he has passed them with flying colors. This also alerts us that the certification and approval steps are already underway.

Elon Musk is in charge of feeding the expectations and the dream of being able to see the huge pick-up driving on the road soon. During a visit to the Texas factory, the CEO acknowledged being excited: “It feels like you are in the future”. The conditioning works are concluding. The particularities of the Cybertruck make it necessary to build specific assembly lines. Once the works have been completed, the first units will enter the pre-production phase to make the necessary adjustments for the next and final stage.
