Volkswagen ID.3 Facelift released for the first time

Next spring, Volkswagen will introduce the long-awaited mid-life update to the ID.3 . The renovated electric compact, which is currently being produced in Dresden and Zwickau, will also be assembled in Wolfsburg to meet customer demand.

Although there are still a few months to go before its launch, Volkswagen has revealed some sketches of the new model, whose aesthetics will remain practically unchanged. The main change will be found in the bumpers, which will abandon their decorative pattern in the form of circles and will adopt a more muscular and sporty appearance. The black molding located at the base of the windshield will also be eliminated and the structure of the pilot lights will be modified.

However, most of the modifications will focus on the interior, which will be much more qualitative: the climate control controls will become illuminated, some haptic buttons will be replaced by physical ones, and the quality of some materials will be improved, one of the points most criticized in the current model.

On the other hand, it will also be equipped with a new generation of software, which will improve system performance and will be able to receive wireless updates. Among the standard equipment, we will now find a 12-inch touch screen, a removable boot floor, and a center console with two cup holders. The Plug & Charge function and the intelligent route planner should also be highlighted. The security assistants for their part will be updated (Travel Assist with swarm intelligence, Park Assist Plus with memory function…).

The Volkswagen ID.3 will have a more qualitative interior

In Spain, four preconfigured finishes will be offered: Entry, Business, Style, and Tour. Its starting price before aid will be 45,020 euros, and the first deliveries will be made in the fourth quarter of 2023. At the moment it is not clear if this restyling will also include mechanical improvements.
