Peugeot e-3008 viewed in full detail in the test drive

There are barely two months left for the launch of the Peugeot e-3008, a model of great strategic importance for the Stellantis group. The popular compact SUV will face the arrival of its third generation by electrifying itself and betting on a more premium approach than that of its predecessor, which in recent years has become one of the brand’s main bestsellers.

Although the prototypes have been rolling for months covered in a dense camouflage that completely hides the shapes of its rear, Peugeot has decided to start lightening them as part of its launch campaign. The first spy photos have not taken long to reach the network, showing us the main lines of the vehicle.

In the images, you can see that the e-3008 will be relatively conservative, something that on the other hand should not surprise us if we take into account the enormous success of the current model. Its headlights will be smaller and will take on a triangular shape; In addition, they will be complemented by LED daytime running lights in the form of a triple claw.

The grille will be blinded, which will improve the aerodynamic coefficient of the body. If we look at the side of the car, we will see that it adopts a “coupé” type profile, with a more extended rear window. One of the most personal features of its predecessor, the “step” of the line of windows in the C-pillar, will remain unchanged.

The Peugeot e-3008 will offer up to 700 kilometers of range

The rear will adopt more sporty forms since the glass surface will be smaller and the pilots (who will imitate the front light signature) will be located in a higher position. In short, we will find ourselves before a more stylized SUV, with more aggressive shapes and a very striking aesthetic in general lines.

A few weeks ago, Peugeot already showed the design of the cabin, which will debut an evolution of its characteristic i-Cockpit. Among other changes, it will now include a 21-inch floating display that will bring together both the digital instrumentation and the infotainment system.

The Peugeot e-3008 will be in charge of launching the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, an architecture specifically developed for medium-sized 100% electric models. Its maximum range will be 700 km WLTP, and will initially be available in three versions: two front-wheel drives and one all-wheel drive. Its NCM (nickel, cobalt, manganese) type batteries will be supplied by ACC (Automotive Cells Company), a consortium made up of Mercedes-Benz, Saft (TotalEnergies), and Stellantis.
