Skoda shared the first images of the new Superb Plug-in Hybrid

Skoda’s flagship will receive a new generation much sooner than one would expect. The Czech company has just announced when it will officially present the renewal of its star sedan. The Skoda Superb will return very soon. The large representative sedan of the Czech firm will be replaced by a new generation in just a few days. In addition to the expected aesthetic changes, it will also have new electrified mechanical alternatives, although it will continue to present more classic thermal variants. Of course, the brand has confirmed that it will arrive with a saloon and estate body.

In the last few hours, Skoda has published what are the first official images of the new Superb. He has done it with images in the form of sketches or drawings, both of the front and the rear, of both the sedan version and the Combi (family car).

The next international premiere of the Skoda Superb

Skoda has confirmed that the presentation of the new Superb will take place on November 2 at 7 p.m. Among the most notable changes will be an aesthetic update that will not be revolutionary, but rather evolutionary, just as the company usually does in its most successful models, thus following the classic recipe of: “If something works, don’t touch it.”

Skoda Superb Plug-in Hybrid

It is known that it will get a design based on Skoda’s Modern Solid language, with thinner and more stylized headlights and the new LED lighting signature in the form of a horizontal line. Also notable will be its new front grille, larger than what has been seen so far in previous Skoda Superb. The interior area of the bumper has also been redesigned to give a greater sensation of width to the model along with a decorative chrome line.

The brand has announced that its dimensions will grow substantially compared to the outgoing generation. Specifically, it will now reach 4,912 mm in length, compared to the 4,864 mm of the current model. It will also gain a few centimeters in the wheelbase, thus reaching 2,841 mm. Aerodynamics will be a fundamental factor since it will present a coefficient of just 0.24.

At the rear, there will be important new features, such as the new LED headlights or the brand name written in the center of the trunk lid. In general terms, it will be much more minimalist than the current generation.

Skoda Design Director Oliver Stefani recently said: “The Superb has traditionally shaped Skoda’s design language and the fourth generation of the model will continue to do just that: its appearance is characterized by sharply defined lines, dynamic proportions, and a modern sculptural appearance and crystalline style.”

As for its mechanics, no specific details are yet known about it beyond the fact that it will incorporate gasoline and diesel variants, as well as alternatives supported by electrification. The plug-in hybrid version should have ranges of more than 80 kilometers. The world premiere can be followed through a live broadcast that the brand will broadcast on its official YouTube channel or through its official news website.
