Getting more than 20,000 orders within just 48 hours of its launch is certainly a milestone worth highlighting. But, in reality, it is not so surprising because we are talking about a fully electric car that is larger than a Tesla Model 3 and that, however, has a price that starts at just 30,000 euros at direct currency exchange. And if that were all… the Zeekr 007 also has exceptional performance with, among other things, a maximum approved range that reaches up to 870 kilometers in its highest-end version. Knowing this data, the success of its launch begins to make a lot of sense, right?
The new Zeekr 007, which by the way is very likely to arrive in Europe soon, because Geely has set a date for its arrival in our market, has already managed to exceed 20,000 units reserved since it went on sale at the Guangzhou Motor Show. That is to say, it has barely taken 48 hours to reach this figure, although the first deliveries will arrive in January 2024. The fact is that this model has a price of 30,000 euros at the direct currency exchange in its ‘simplest’ version of the range, which does not lack anything.

Zeekr, in case you didn’t know, is a brand of Geely, which owns Volvo, Polestar, and Link & Co., as well as co-owner of Smart. Come on, it may sound Chinese to you, and it is indeed a Chinese brand, but we know it very well here in Europe, even if only indirectly. This particular model, the Zeekr 007, is a medium-sized sedan with a body 4.86 meters long, 1.9 meters wide, and 1.45 meters high. It also has a wheelbase of 2.92 meters and an empty weight of 2,150 kg.
As I was telling you, the Zeekr 007 stands out for its technology, equipment, and battery. But also for its design, based on the brand’s Hidden Energy language, which combines ‘luxury and minimalism’. On the front, for example, it sports a 90-inch long smart screen made up of 1,711 high-power LEDs with a maximum brightness of 10,000 nits, which is what makes up that characteristic front lighting. But in terms of performance, it also offers high performance which, once again, compromises the leadership position of the Tesla Model 3.
It can be purchased with a 310 kW silicon carbide (SiC) rear motor, which is 410 HP, and in this version, it offers acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. But it is also available with all-wheel drive thanks to a 221 HP front engine plus a 410 HP rear motor unit, the same as in the entry-level versions, to offer acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h. in 2.84 seconds. In this case, the benefits are much higher. But it also stands out for its range, because there are versions with 688 km of approved range and up to 870 km.
And all this with an 800 V architecture for its electrical system, which among other things allows a charge of 610 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging. The Zeekr 007, by the way, uses an LFP-type battery in the access versions and an NCM battery in the high-performance versions, which are supplied in the latter case by CATL. It does not lack the latest technologies including a LiDAR, 12 high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and five millimeter wave radars, as well as a 15-inch OLED multimedia screen and a 35.5-inch Head-Up Display with reality functions.
