“PanAmericana” – the route from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego makes globetrotters and those who want to become one dream of automotive wanderlust and freedom worldwide: The new VW Caddy PanAmericana, which is available now, includes off-road-like paneling on wheel arches and side skirts as well as the black ones Additional strips on the doors for its most conspicuous exterior design elements.

There are also grained bumpers, front and rear with underride protection. And in the fifth generation of the Caddy, it is finally expanding the PanAmericana series into a model family. Because it now complements the well-known Transporter 6.1 PanAmericana .

The Caddy PanAmericana can now be ordered and available – exclusively for the short wheelbases of the Caddy Cargo and the car variant based on the Caddy Life. A total of up to 19 driver assistance systems (ADAS) are available. Standard LED lights at the front and rear as well as glazed 17-inch light-alloy wheels complement the look of the new Caddy. Inside you come across silver-colored inserts in the side door strips.

The “PanAmericana” logo appears as an extension of the sliding door rail and on the available rear wing doors or the tailgate and the radiator grille of the Caddy and Caddy Cargo. The Caddy lettering on the rear is omitted. The PanAmericana becomes an independent member of the new Caddy family in terms of appearance and appearance. Highlights in the interior of the car model based on the Caddy Life include the new “Pinestripe” seat covers, the standard small leather package for the multifunctional leather steering wheel, shift gaiter, and aluminum-look pedals and footrests.

In addition, there is the already mentioned door paneling with inserts plus a center console similar to the higher Caddy equipment “Style”, front door sills with silver lettering, the steering wheel with steering wheel clasp, the PanAmericana lettering, and standard floor mats – front and rear.

The new Caddy PanAmericana is only available with a short wheelbase as a passenger car or cargo, optionally with an 84 kW TSI petrol engine or TDI turbodiesel with 75 or 90 kW output, depending on the engine, then purely front-wheel drive with 6-speed manual or 7-speed -DSG automatic transmission, as well as 4MOTION all-wheel, drive with the 6-speed manual transmission. According to VW, all engines consume combined between 4.5 liters (TDI) and 5.7 liters / 100km (TSI), which corresponds to CO2 emissions between 119 to 133 grams/km (combined). All units comply with the latest Euro 6d-ISC-FCM emissions standard.

VW Caddy PanAmericana

Depending on the drive, the Caddy PanAmericana has a trailer load of up to 1.5 tons and can load up to 679 kilograms as cargo and up to 525 kilograms as a car, depending on the equipment (permissible roof load: 100 kg, vertical load up to 75 kg). The Caddy PanAmericana is available in the color finishes ‘Candy White’ or ‘Deep Black Pearl Effect’, or in metallic finishes such as ‘Reflex Silver’, ‘Starlight Blue’ or ‘Copper Bronze’.

Prices start at 31,713.50 euros for the VW Caddy PanAmericana in the passenger car version with 1.5 TSI, 114 hp, and manual 6-speed gearbox. The diesel start at 33,445 euros in the form of the 102 hp unit.
