- After the new Range Rover will come its younger and sportier brother, a Range Rover Sport that will inherit part of its DNA
- It will be born from Jaguar Land Rover’s new MLA platform that will allow it to have hybrid and 100% electric versions
- It will arrive in the second half of 2021 as MY2022, just one year after the release of the Range Rover.
Land Rover is already preparing a new generation of its flagship, a Range Rover that we already hunted at the Nürburgring at the beginning of the year and which is expected to arrive as usual with the most advanced technology and luxury within Jaguar Land Rover. And as usual, it will not arrive alone, but the SUV par excellence of the brand will also arrive at its side.
We are talking of course about the 2022 Range Rover, a model that will also land with a new generation that our spies have hunted in Germany and that as usual will act as a prelude to the original Range Rover betting on a more sporty approach and linked to the asphalt than in the case. from its older brother but at the same time bringing the latest technology both in its mechanics and inside its cabin.
2022 Range Rover Interior
As we can see from these photos, it does not seem that there is going to be a great revolution in its design, but rather an evolution of the formula that has given such good results to the British firm. With everything and comparing it with the Range Rover that we saw at the beginning of the year, we do find more differences than it may seem between one brother and the other. For example, the overhangs of this new 2022 Range Rover look much shorter than those of the new Range Rover (standard), while its rear is also shorter and sportier. And despite this, this model will continue to have a 5 + 2-seater format in a spacious interior.
An interior that will also come remarkably updated with an 11.4-inch screen for the Pivi Pro infotainment system, while maintaining the style and shapes of the Range Rover, with a thick steering wheel and a robust dashboard. In any case, it is to be expected that we begin to know more details of its interior with the premiere of its brother, the Range Rover.
Total commitment to electrification
This new Range Rover 2022 will be born from Jaguar Land Rover’s new MLA modular platform – which was also going to shape the recently canceled new Jaguar XJ – which already supports all kinds of electrifications. This means that the new Range Rover Sport will offer from mild-hybrid versions and plug-in hybrids to a 100% electric version, like the one that will also end up being offered in the Range Rover, which could arrive a few years after its premiere.
