An idea that will finally be materialized in a production vehicle to satisfy the public that is looking for a sportier alternative to the Ateca itself.
It is not a new idea within the Volkswagen Group, we can currently find the Audi Q3 Sportback at dealerships. The future SEAT Ateca Coupé will have similar dimensions and will be supported by Volkswagen’s MQB platform. It remains to be seen what its name will be. Let us remember that SEAT used the acronym SC to refer to the three-door Leon.
Whatever its name, SEAT is currently finalizing the design of the next generation of the Ateca. A design that will be transferred to the coupé variant, although with the differences typical of a model with these characteristics. The possibility of CUPRA being the first brand to debut this new SUV Coupé, which will later leap SEAT, is also being analyzed. In the case of the CUPRA model, its mechanical offer will be made up exclusively of a selection of gasoline engines and a plug-in hybrid version.
