Tesla confirms three new electric vehicles

Elon Musk begins preparations for the third part of his Master Plan. Tesla will diversify the fleet with three new models and these are the first data we have on them. Tesla has taken control of the electrical industry. His technology is still far ahead of its closest rivals, but Elon Musk knows that one day that gap will be closed. There are more and more alternatives to the models of the American brand and, given this perspective, Tesla has to expand the fleet to offer vehicles that its closest pursuers are not capable of replicating. Three new models have been confirmed, very different from each other, and they will arrive in the next few years.

A confirmation has come from the company itself. Those from Austin have before them a particularly light year in terms of news. The Tesla Cybertruck will grab a lot of spotlights when it sees the light. It is not yet known when that will be, but it will go into production throughout this year. Along with the pick-up will be the important renovations of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. The best-selling models of the house will offer updates. At the moment, there is no specific release date, but they should not be delayed beyond this year.

The official confirmation

Now the big question is: what will be next? That very question has been planned for some time by the busy head of the CEO of the company. With phase 3 of its Master Plan already underway, it is time to set its eyes on the third stage: expanding production and diversifying the range. Tesla is developing a versatile platform that will be able to give life to three new and very different products. The arrival of a compact, a van, and a bus has been confirmed. This important revelation has been accompanied by the first technical data.

Regarding the compact, the one that everyone assumes will be called Tesla Model 2, is called to be the most important electric car in the world. With an estimated sale price of €25,000, much has been said and speculated about it. There is no expected release date, but the preliminary data encourages it to be positive. Those from Austin expect, with good reason, that it will become their best-selling car with more than 42 million units registered worldwide. Twice the estimates of Model 3 and Model Y.

Tesla Model S

After him, a van will arrive. Tesla has not wanted to specify the size or the characteristics, so a world of infinite possibilities opens up. The Americans have made it very clear that it will be capable of transporting not only goods but there will also specific versions for passengers. According to the plan, it will use a ternary NCM (nickel, cobalt, manganese) battery with a capacity of 100 kWh, which will mean a high range, similar to that of its highest-end electric cars. It would be positioned as a model directly opposed to the Mercedes e-Vito. Tesla expects to sell no more and no less than 10 million units.

The Tesla Semi has opened a line of business that they are now looking to expand with other large vehicles. Its development has allowed us to think of alternatives and that is why Austin they are already thinking of offering a 100% electric bus. A sector in which the clients will be the local administrations and which opens a new unknown path for Tesla. Preliminary figures estimate one million units soldA gigantic 300 kWh capacity LFP battery will be installed under its body, which should allow it to drive for a range of more than 400 kilometers. For now, a specific release date has not been specified either.
