This SUV is probably one of the best cars you can buy for €25,000

Today, an SUV for 25,000 euros, having the characteristics that the model I am going to talk about, is almost a bargain. Just stop and think that a Volkswagen Tiguan starts at more than 34,000 euros, for example, and that a Toyota RAV4 costs at least 37,650 euros. So this model, which is €9,000 cheaper than the German option, and about 12,000 euros cheaper than the Japanese one, thanks to the €5,200 discount it has right now, is possibly the best purchase you can make. It has lowered its price even further to face the newcomer MG HS and yes, it is up to the task.

The model I’m talking about is the Hyundai Tucson, and if I tell you that it is the fourth best-selling car in Europe according to October data, you will surely begin to understand better that it is a reference model. We are talking about a compact SUV, in the C segment, which measures 4.5 meters long and has not only large rear seats but also a large trunk with a capacity of 598 liters. In this sense, it offers something more than a KIA Sportage, it is much larger than the MG HS due to its capacity and also leaves the Nissan Qashqai in the shadows.

Hyundai Tucson is the best model to buy right now

An MG HS costs 25,440 euros – without a financing discount – and right now, as I said, the Hyundai Tucson is available for 25,125 euros. Come on, as surprising as it may be, the Hyundai Tucson is available cheaper because, in fact, right now the Korean brand maintains an active offer with a 5,200 euro discount on its usual price. And, in reality, even its cheapest version of the range is already highly recommended, especially for its efficient engine. Here the MG HS is left behind because it has excellent power but uses more gasoline.

Hyundai TUCSON

The cheapest Hyundai Tucson in the range comes with a 150 HP 1.5 TGDi engine that claims just over 6 L/100 km, and the only drawback that can be made is that its engine is a thermal engine without electrification of any kind. so it does not have the convenient ECO label from the DGT. Now, higher up in the range there is one with the same engine, but with mild hybrid technology, which already has the ECO label and which by the way comes with much more equipment because it is associated with a superior finish.

The MG HS indeed has a 162 HP engine, so it offers something more in power, but it is a model that does not directly have an ECO label option. Of course, from 25,440 euros – with a financing discount – the MG EHS is available in the range, which is already a plug-in hybrid with 258 HP of maximum power and something even better: Zero labels from the DGT, as if it were a fully-fledged car. electric. Compared to the MG HS right now the Hyundai Tucson is a strong option, but compared to the MG EHS there is nothing on the market that measures up to it.

Throughout this year there have been several key moments when the KIA Sportage was more recommended for the simple reason that it was cheaper than the Hyundai Tucson. At the end of the day, mechanically and technologically they are the same car, and choosing between one and the other is more of a very subjective personal choice. Right now, the Hyundai Tucson is available at a lower price. And yes, it indeed comes with a 5-year warranty, however, both the KIA Sportage and the MG HS have a 7-year warranty.
