Honda gives us a glimpse of its new Accord

A new completely redesigned and more technological Honda Accord is in preparation for 2023, according to information announced by the manufacturer.

The Honda Accord has been present on our market for already 10 generations. Despite the waning popularity of midsize sedans over the past few years, Honda has decided not to abandon this segment by giving us a preview of the 11th generation.

Even if the images revealed by Honda do not show the vehicle in its entirety, we can still distinguish that the exterior lines will take over the design present on new Honda products, such as the Civic and the CR-V. On the mechanical side, very few details were leaked in the release other than that the hybrid powertrain would be upgraded to be more responsive and fun.

In terms of the cabin, it will be more modern than in the past by integrating a Google system for the first time at Honda. This integration should allow the system a better fluidity than in the past, according to the manufacturer. Combined with this infotainment system, the Accord will integrate the largest touchscreen ever designed by Honda at 12.3 inches. For the rest, we can expect the interior design to carry over several elements present in the recently launched Honda products.

2023 Honda Accord

Great ambitions for the manufacturer

In presenting these images, Honda is not shy to say that “the all-new 2023 Honda Accordbrings excitement back to the midsize sedan segment with sleek styling, improved hybrid performance and the first integration of a Google multimedia system in a Honda.” It will therefore be interesting to see what Honda has done with this 11th generation to try to bring customers back to this neglected category. Remember that several manufacturers have abandoned this category in recent years; this is the case of Ford with the Fusion and Volkswagen with the Passat. For the moment, very few details are known about this new Accord. We’ll have to wait until next month, during the full reveal, to have more details on the car. It is therefore to follow very soon.
