Of course, this extended warranty indeed has a series of special conditions. The good thing is that it is a completely free extension of the warranty, not like the options offered by other manufacturers, which involve a separate payment to have a longer warranty period. The bad thing, however, is that it forces you to use the brand’s workshops, which as you can imagine are more expensive than those of third parties.
This warranty extension, which as we said is called Toyota Relax, consists of something as simple as extending the warranty up to 15 years, maximum, with an annual renewal model without added costs, but with the condition that the maintenance is carried out in the Toyota workshop network. As long as periodic maintenance is carried out in their workshops, the manufacturer’s warranty is renewed each year for a maximum period of 15 years.
Another of the key conditions of this service, Toyota Relax, is that it is an exclusive service for Toyota customers and, be careful, because it does not apply to rented cars, nor to driving school vehicles, taxis, VTCs, and public service vehicles. On the other hand, it is for vehicles less than 15 years old and with less than 250,000 kilometers, because it not only applies to new vehicles but also to used cars. And of course, all this is a clear sign that Toyota is one of the most reliable brands on the market.
If a Toyota owner has at any time had a service done outside its workshops, the Japanese brand offers the possibility of renewing this warranty of up to 15 years, under its Toyota Relax model, but for that, you have to go to a workshop in its network and do a check to see if everything is okay. If they detect something out of the ordinary, they give you a price for the repair and, once done, the special warranty of up to 15 years can be renewed. So it’s okay because even cars that have been left out of this warranty extension can benefit from it with the corresponding brand check.
