Toyota shows the first image of the hybrid SUV coming to the US

The Japanese manufacturer has shown a preview of a leading hybrid SUV that confirms that it will continue to expand its most exclusive model range outside of Japan. Toyota is, perhaps, the brand that reveals the most news every day globally, something normal given that it is the largest. The Japanese company focuses its activity on hybrid cars that are far from luxurious models, although the latest of all advances it has shown confirm that the brand is expanding its most exclusive range of cars outside of Japan.

The North American division of Toyota has been the one that has published this image and, as Carscoops has pointed out, several aspects can be confirmed with it. The brief photograph belongs to a new model that is part of the brand’s Crown range.  In the United States, only one model of this line is sold, which is the most exclusive of all the ones it has globally, but with the publication of this image, it is confirmed that little by little it is beginning to let the world enjoy this range. , so there is the possibility, still distant in time, of seeing them in Europe.

The second fact that confirms the shot is that, although it reveals very little, it is the production version of a conceptual model that the brand presented some time ago in SUV format. They called it the Toyota Crown Estate at that time, and despite having a family car name, it was a preview of a luxurious SUV destined to become one of Toyota’s most desired models both in Japan and the United States and in the rest of the world.

Toyota Crown SUV

The Japanese manufacturer has not specified a presentation date for this leading SUV, but with a see you soon, it has made it clear that the final presentation of the model is closer than far.

The brand is expected to make use of its typical but effective hybrid system featuring its 2.4 or 2.5-liter gasoline engine, with naturally aspirated and turbo versions, inherited from the Toyota Crown that the brand already sells in the United States.

The brand, like others such as Ford or Honda, is in the process of globalizing its range, that is, it adapts each model from its conception to the needs of different markets to be able to market them in them with hardly any changes. This is why the possibility of seeing a model from the Crown range in Europe is on the horizon. Seeing the Crown that is marketed in the United States is difficult, on the other hand, an SUV-type car like the Crown Estate that allows the brand to compete with more aspirational models does seem like a more realistic possibility.
